“My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up” Psalms 5:3, NKJV.
While laying back on a spa chair, an older Egyptian woman asked me about my family and work. I shared with her how I have six children and have been a stay-at-home Mom for the past 20 years. It’s not easy, I told her, but I am thankful. My sister, the words she shared next were so golden that I felt compelled to share with you.
Through her broken English, she said, “Give God your day. Put Jesus in first place at the beginning of your day, and everything will flow peacefully. If you try to do things on your own, you will find your day will not go well. But when you give God your day, He will give you what you need. Don’t stress. Let your children hear you giving God your day…”
As soon as I heard the wisdom of God pouring through her, I immediately put it into practice. I began giving God my day every morning, and each night before bed, I began thanking Him for the day He had given me and repented of anything I had done in that day that was not like Him.
That simple application has blessed me tremendously. I encourage you, my sister, to not stress over this or that, but give God your day and watch the peace of God envelop you and watch the favor of God go before you. You will enjoy peace like never before!
Prayer: Father God, I give you my day. Lead and guide me today. I recognize I can’t do anything without you. I receive your divine help. I receive your divine wisdom, your divine leading, and your divine peace. Thank you, Father. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
I bless God, this word is a confirmation for me. Amen and amen
