Be like Christ in your friendships.

β€œAnd Saul’s son Jonathan came to David in Horesh and strengthened his hand in God, do not be afraid, for my father Saul will never lay a hand on you. And you will be king over Israel, and I will be your second-in-command. Even my father Saul knows this is true” 1 Samuel 23:16-17, Berean Study Bible.

My sister, learn to be like Christ in your friendships. He is with you, but He doesn’t have the same perspective as you. When you are confused, He is not confused with you. When you are weak, He is not weak with you. He is strong, and He helps to strengthen you. Be strong and help strengthen. Be focused with a clear mind when they feel confused. Be confident when they feel timid and afraid. Don’t mimic someone trying to be a good friend. This doesn’t help them. God’s word is a mirror, and when you look into His word, you are changed into the same image from glory to glory. Be His mirror of truth that reminds them of who they are in Christ, what they have in Him, and what He has called them to be.

(Read 2 Corinthians 3:18; Proverbs 27:17)
