Give me a clean heart.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me” Psalms‬ ‭51‬:‭10,‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” Hebrews 4:12, NKJV.

The heart is a vital organ to all of us. It is the core of the body and without it, the entire body cannot function. When some people find they have a condition of the heart, they may require heart surgery for it to work properly again.

For some of us, we can tell something is not what it should be in our spiritual heart, because it’s not functioning properly. It’s not beating as it should. Our pursuits, our intents, and motives are not what we know they should be. We’ve become full of fear, instead of faith. Maybe you have compromised some things in your walk with the Lord. Maybe your heart has become hardened and you don’t seek God like you used to.

This is not the time to continue on. This is not the time to be fake. The Great Physician is desiring to do real spiritual heart surgery, just like a physical one, in our lives in these times. As a doctor uses a scalpel to perform physical surgery, God uses His word to perform His. The difference is, His word is sharp and powerful, and He will use it to get our hearts right. It brings light to any dark place.

As you spend time in prayer and pour out truth to Him, He will pour out His truth to you and bring change to you. He desires to do something great in your heart today.

Prayer: Father, I give you praise. You know exactly where I am. More than anything, I pray for you to give me a clean heart. Do a work in my heart. Help me to let your word change me. I believe in the changing power of your word. By the light of your truth and the power of your Spirit, make me free and give me a clean heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
