Jesus came down, Sis.

“For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do my own will” John 6:38, New Living Translation

Today, I want to bring our focus to one thing: Jesus came down. My sister, He didn’t wait for us to meet His demand of perfection or righteousness before He loved us. He came down and met us where we were. I pray we will do the same. We lose people when we demand perfection and right living from them without coming down, remembering all that Jesus did for us. Let’s come down and meet people where they are. Let’s get our washed in the blood hands Kingdom dirty in doing the work He’s called us to do.

We had nothing going on until He came down and met us in our lost and broken state. My goodness, He cleaned us all the way up and gave us His Holy Spirit, placed us on a firm foundation in Christ, and gave us a new name. Now, out of deep gratitude let’s imitate Him, my sister, by also coming down, humbling ourselves to reach the lost and broken, the abandoned and dejected. God will do the same for them as He did for us. He will rescue them, renew their minds, and change their lives all because His daughter imitated Him and came down.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord. You came down to save me. With all my heart, I thank you. Help me never be too holy or too heavenbound to come down and reach people who need you. Get me busy doing the work of your Kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
