Overcoming temptation activates your Angels of Help.

“Then the Spirit led Jesus into the desert to be tempted by the Devil. After spending forty days and nights without food, Jesus was hungry. Then the Devil came to him and said, “If you are God’s Son, order these stones to turn into bread.” But Jesus answered, “The scripture says, ‘Human beings cannot live on bread alone, but need every word that God speaks.’” Then the Devil took Jesus to Jerusalem, the Holy City, set him on the highest point of the Temple, and said to him, “If you are God’s Son, throw yourself down, for the scripture says, ‘God will give orders to his angels about you; they will hold you up with their hands, so that not even your feet will be hurt on the stones.’ Jesus answered, “But the scripture also says, ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’” Then the Devil took Jesus to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in all their greatness. “All this I will give you,” the Devil said, “if you kneel down and worship me.” Then Jesus answered, “Go away, Satan! The scripture says, ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve only him!’” Then the Devil left Jesus; and angels came and helped him” Matthew 4:1-11, GNT.

Overcoming temptation activates your Angels of Help.

There’s an incredible unseen power released after every “No”, you speak.

You literally invite swift, unimaginable angelic help after every “No”.

In the Lord’s Prayer, our loving and generous Savior injected one quiet yet powerful verse in hindsight.

“Lead us not not into temptation,but deliver us from evil.”

Your Redeemer foreknew the power unleashed every time you say, “No!” to that very tempting evil against your Heavenly Father. You signal angelic assistance with each temptation you refuse to heed.

Every time you ‘shoo’ the tempter after a very mouth-watering, enticing offer, unbeknownst to you , you’ve just signaled your “very present help” in your time of need.

Sometimes its immediate, sometimes it goes ahead of you–in future to repay that ‘overcoming.’

Like a servant girl waits on the slightest signal from her mistress, so does your God-sent heavenly ministers await your overcoming.’

Every “Get behind me, Satan!” you command, you also command divine intervention.

As the evil one flees in shame, your Heavenly Father, who was watching with keen interest, all along, already had angels on standby with instructions to come minister to you.

So begin to see the benefits of overcoming that lure of the evil one to seduce and make you fall. Begin to understand that divine good that comes out from every tempting situation you refuse.

It may be hard to resist that cool, good looking ‘no-good‘ man; it may be hard to resist the urge for weekend flexing and clubbing; it may be even harder to forgive that age-long wrong; it maybe tempting to add seemingly harmless ‘false’ zeroes behind that invoice; but remember, every time you overcome evil with good, you signal divine assistance.

Angels descend.

Overcoming temptations always precede divine consolation.
