The footprints of your life.

“Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you” Isaiah 46:4, NKJV.

I was reminded of the well-known poem Footprints. When things seemed hard to get through, when we didn’t understand why, when it felt like we were alone, He was always carrying us. He picked us up and brought us to a promised place.

Throughout your life, if you look back, you will notice the Father who carried you. How you’ve come this far, you don’t know how. You’ve seen miracle after miracle, showing how much God has been there and cares for you. You’ve seen the footprints of God in your life.

When the blessing comes, and it will, you will realize that the Lord was always there. When He performs a work in you that only He could accomplish, you will understand God brought purpose from it all. Let hope and joy rise in my heart today because you did it then, and you’re doing it now. He’s going to bless you, speak to you, guide you, and abundantly favor you. You will say He was here the entire time.

Prayer: Father, I give you praise. Thank you for being so involved all the days of my life. I didn’t get here on my own. You’ve been carrying me. Those footprints in my life are yours, and I’m so thankful. Help me never to forget that. Keep leading me, Holy Spirit. I receive hope and joy in my heart today because you did it then, and you’re doing it now. You will bless me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
