When You Pray For Your Friends

“And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before” Job 42:10.

Please read that Scripture again, but this time read it slowly.

My sister, it was when Job prayed for his friends that the Lord turned his situation around, and gave him twice as much as he had before. The Lord will turn things around for you when you pray for her. I know she didn’t respond the way you wanted her to respond. The Lord will turn things around for you when you pray for him. I know you gave him your heart, and he walked all over it. The Lord will turn things around for you when you pray for them. I know they didn’t treat you like real sisters are supposed to. They talked about you and turned their backs.

But I hear the Spirit of the Lord saying, “Pray for every friend in your life, both old and new. For where I am taking you, my daughter, you can’t afford to have any bitterness or resentment in your heart toward anyone. Your breakthrough is tied to your fervent prayers for those who hurt you. As you pray from your heart for them, I will turn your captivity as I did with Job. I will bless you with twice as much as you had before. I will reward you, says the Lord. I will be greatly glorified in your life!”

Prayer: Yes, Lord. I hear you. With everything in me Lord I ask that you bless my friends, old and new. I ask that you forgive them. They don’t know how deeply their actions affected me. Forgive them Lord. Bless them with your love, your grace and your mercy. Give them a heart to know you more. Protect them Lord and surround their families with your love. Help them to fulfill your divine purpose and plan for their lives. Heal them Lord the same way you’re healing me. Love on them Lord the same way you’re loving on me. Touch them Lord the same way you’re supernaturally touching me. Be glorified in their lives in a great way, and use me to bless them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Good job my sister. I know that was tough, but good job. God is pleased.

  6. My Sisters,
This wouldn’t be a difficult task when we’re rooted and grounded in love…sure I know this is rather said than done…but I have had the journey to LOVE anyone/everyone ON PURPOSE.
I’m still looking through the eyes of love regardless the person..God shown me that everyone deserves His love and to let me show them His love through me…I admit for some its difficult..but I committed to my Father that he can trust me..I’m on His mission to be obedient and press on….my daily mantra: “Love is the key”

  10. Thank you sooooo much DOTK for this blessed word. I know that this is affirmation for me. This is so timely. I have been on leave for several weeks and spent much more time studying and praying. I have been praying for friends and colleagues. Especially those colleagues that have caused me hurt and pain. I’ve asked the Lord to just bless them and meet their needs. I am learning through prayer how to let go of the hurt, bitterness and resentment. God has called us to love them. God is faithful and He rewards us. I don’t want to block not one blessing from my Father because of my unforgiveness. GOD will give us double for our trouble. God is awesome! Thank you sooooo much for this wonderful word.
