When you pray for your friends.

“And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before” Job 42:10.

Job’s friends didn’t respond properly to his situation. They didn’t respond to him with love or grace. He told them, “You are miserable comforters, all of you” (see Job 16:2). It was when Job prayed for his friends that the Lord turned his situation around and gave him twice as much as he had before.

People who are supposed to be your friends may not be responding to you with love, sensitivity, and grace. They may be showing themselves to be miserable comforters right now, but my sister, the Lord will turn things around for you when you pray for her, pray for him, and pray for them. Pray for every friend in your life, both old and new. For
where God is taking you, you can’t afford to have any bitterness or resentment in your heart toward anyone.

Prayer: Yes, Lord. I hear you. With everything in me, Lord, I ask that you bless my friends, old and new. I forgive them, and I ask that you forgive them. They don’t know how deeply their actions affected me. Bless them with your love, your grace, and your mercy. Give them a heart to know you more. Protect them, Lord, and surround their families with your love. Help them to fulfill your divine purpose and plan for their lives. Heal them, Lord, the same way you’re healing me. Love on them the same way you are loving on me. Touch them the same way you’re supernaturally touching me. Be glorified in their lives in a great way, and use me to bless them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Good job, my sister. I know that was tough, but good job. The Lord is pleased, and He’s getting ready to bless you in unimaginable ways!

  1. Thank you Jesus for seeing me.

I didn’t know how much I needed to read this until all I could do was cry uncontrollably. Thank you, big sis, for releasing what the Lord asked of you because it catapulted my release. This devotional continues to minister to me in a way that I cannot explain.
