While on a run this morning, everything in me said, Girl, you can’t do this. I tried to block the thoughts. I tried to refocus on the sunrise. But eventually reality set in that I hadn’t run in a while and so I stopped. My body tired, I tried to control my breathing. And before I could feel down about getting tired, I remembered that it’s okay to stop and rest. Eventually, I reached the finished line which is my home.
One day, I will reach my eternal home of being with Jesus after I’ve finished my course and completed my race. I’ve learned to not let the enemy condemn me for getting tired and taking breaks. Especially when it’s those who endure to the end who shall be saved.
When you are tired, take your stops. Breathe God’s rich oxygen into your lungs. Take your rest and talk to your Father. Receive all of Him in every fiber of your being. And with a mind made up, put one foot in front of the other and begin running again. Keep running your race, not waiting to feel strong. Trust that new strength will come. Keep running until you reach home. Remember, it’s about finishing, my sister. And I know, without a doubt, you will finish well. Looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith.

Thank you for such a beautiful devotional. I often times feel like a failure, I start off with so many goals and ambitions but when I don’t complete them that’s when I start listening to the inside voices.
I have been reading the devotional now so I wanna say about five years or maybe a little bit more I’ve never seen you. You’re beautiful. I don’t need your physical. That is beautiful but your soul and your spirit oh my God it missed me every day as I read the right I share that with my daughter and my granddaughters and that being such a mighty big way, even though I haven’t never seen you, but God knows who you are.
