You Will Rebuild

“When I heard these words, I sat down and wept. I mourned for days, fasting and praying before the God of heaven” Nehemiah 1:4, Berean Standard Bible.

Just as Nehemiah was moved to tears when he discovered the state of the Jewish exiles and the destruction of the wall of Jerusalem, you have been moved to tears at the devastation in certain places and in the lives of certain groups of people. Instead of rushing and doing something about it, fast and pray, and receive God’s plan to rebuild. My sister, hear me and hear me good. You are the Nehemiah of your generation. You are the Nehemiah of your family. You will rebuild torn down homes, devastated lives, and will revive what the devil has sought to destroy. You will not rush ahead doing anything in your own power or understanding. You will stay in God’s presence, pen and paper in hand, as He downloads to your spirit the rebuilding plan. You will follow His instructions to the “t”, as you see God move upon the hearts of those who are called to come help you. You will see Him give you courage in the face of opposition that comes to stop the work. You will be emboldened and will keep focus. God has put it in your heart to build devastated places, and will rebuild. In the authority of Christ, I declare over you now according to Isaiah 61:4, you will rebuild the ancient ruins. You will repair cities destroyed long ago. You will revive them, though they have been deserted for many generations.

Speak by faith: Father God, I receive your word spoken directly to my heart, and I receive calling to rebuild. Download to my spirit your instructions and help me move forward in them. Help me be who you called me to be, a peacemaker, a builder, a Nehemiah of my generation. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

(Read Nehemiah 1:3-5)

  1. Yes, I will rebuild on the Lord’s Rock that is higher than I. When the wind, rain and storm come it will not fall so I can help others stand. For the Glory of God. Thank you for this encouraging devotional. Blessings, Shalom and Agape 👀🙏🏽♥️📖🙌🏽
