Thank you God that to die in Christ means that we will live in Christ “when” He comes again to resurrect us from the dead. What a blessed hope!!!!, even in a world of suffering, You give us peace and strength to continue living for You no matter what!
This version of 2 Timothy 11 is somewhat misleading from the King James Version. Scripture shows us that we do not “begin” to live with Him in heaven when we die in Him. But indeed we “shall” live with Him. This is on Christ’s second coming. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 says “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and THE DEAD IN CHRIST SHALL RISE FIRST: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
