Better, Not Bitter

“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new….” Revelation 21:5

When God restores, He makes it better than before. Maybe your heart has been broken and now you are left picking up the pieces of a broken life. Maybe you are trying hard to get back to where you used to be. Only God can put the pieces back together again and fix what’s broken. You may say, “I was doing good until that happened!” Whatever your “I was doing good until…” statement is, God knows and He won’t allow those heartbreaking experiences to change His purpose and plan for your life.

You are still His daughter, still chosen by Him, still His prize and His joy! Whatever the enemy has meant for your bad, God is turning it around for your good! Don’t live in a state of self-pity wondering who you would’ve been and where you would be right now if you had not gone through what you did. Believe Him to restore everything you loss and give you more than what you had.

Just wait until God gets done with you, my sister! He’s making all things new! It may not feel or look like it, but He is. Keep holding on to His promises and keep trusting in His supernatural ability! Speak and declare over your life that your God is making all things new for you!

Prayer: Father God, you have touched my heart so deeply with your Word! Thank you for ministering to every broken place in me. Help me to be better, not bitter. I give my heart and soul to you and ask you to make all things new in my life. Amen.

  6. God always continues to amaze me with great love for me in sending me the SPECIFIC right thing at the very right time.

On Fri morning, my husband f 23 yrs who has been out of state for the past 2 months, told me he doesn’t want to or plan to return back. When I heard the news it was just a confirmation of what I already knew in my Spirit but it stung and for a moment I grieved and then God gave me a peace and a reassurance, that once again He has me.

Well early this morning, the not so peaceful thoughts came. This is not the 1st time he has left. And the previous times he has left, I am left to pick up the pieces and take care of the remnants… bills, home, kids, even belongings he leaves behind. There usually is no provision given and the things I did get from him, I had to initiate and it was often a struggle. Well ALL those thoughts came flooding back. And I was getting anxious, upset and just plain outright bitter. I was even composing in my mind how I would tell him off or clear my mind.

BUT then I read the devotional this morning. It was God sent for me as a reminder that once again, God has me. I have been walking a road of healing in regards to a stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis for 3 years and this year I was having an upswing in health and God spoke to me about this year being a season of restoration. My husband leaving along with my health reports taking a dip over the last couple of months, did not seem restorative BUT God sent me this reminder because He knows I needed to continue to see things through a different lens – His lens.

I do not know exactly what the future holds but I know my God has been faithful to me through the years. His grace is more than enough. He sees and has gone before me and He paves the way. He knows the desires of my heart and exactly what I need to fulfill my purpose in Him. I am filled with love for Him and filled with a renewed confidence of hope and trust in the plans of He has for me. I am so touched by His personal message to me. Thank you sister once again for your obedience to His leading. ❤

      1. Thank you. I know God is here with me and teven though. The ground is shaky, I have this deep peace. ❤ He has it and has me.

    1. Bless you! Hold on to Jesus alone and keep your eyes on Him. He is faithful. If he said RESTORE, he means restore! He is faithful and he will do it!

  7. Thank you JESUS, my release has been given within these words. I have feared opening my heart to love because of hurt; your continued blessing will hep me get through. It’s your LOVE that gives me what I’ve missed and had.

  8. Praise God! The God I serve surely turned me from bitter to better! I can truly say I once was a running but know I understand I was running to a dead end because I was running in the wrong direction, when I steered in the right direction I became better, feel better and look better thank you Father God for your unconditionally love and for that I will forever serve you. and praise your holy name.. Thank you father God!

  9. Thank you so much this was awesome to read so much what I needed right now of what I’m going through

  10. GOD is doing for me what I couldn’t do for myself. I was 1 that he left the 99 to come and find. Now I am Happy again and wanting to live the life he has for me. If I would have already been doing it instead of my own will I would be farther in my life’s purpose he has planned for me even in my mother’s womb.

  11. Every day your devotions hit me right where I am. This has been the biggest blessing! Thank you. God bless !
