Choose to have a right attitude!

“He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform” Romans 4:20-21, NKJV.

Years ago, I worked for an employer that no one liked. The work atmosphere was always stressful and everyday I came home feeling discouraged and stressed out. My attitude wasn’t good at all. I began to pray and ask God if I could leave and move on to something else, but He told me, “No, change your attitude.” So that’s what I did. I would say, “I love my job, I love my job, I love my job and everyone I work with!” I would say this on my way to work, under my breath while at work, and on my way home. I even put sticky notes on my computer. Would you believe, my God began to bless me with favor on that job. He even blessed me to minister to my boss and we became great friends! When I did leave that job it wasn’t out of frustration; it was because God had promoted me to another assignment.

The Israelites were delayed forty years from entering into the Promised Land because of their attitude. Don’t let a bad attitude extend your stay in a place you know you’re not destined to be.

God wants to bless you with promotion, favor and blessings. If it’s a job you hate, you got to to start saying, “I love my job, I love my job, I love my job and everyone I work with!!!” Say it by faith!

Choose to have a right attitude. My husband always say, “If you can’t get out of something, get into it!” If God’s not allowing you to leave an uncomfortable situation, ask Him to help you get into it. He has you there for a reason and a purpose. There’s someone He wants you to reach. Change your attitude by focusing on why you are there. Maybe it’s not for you, but for them.

Prayer: My God! Forgive me for my attitude. Help me to have and maintain an attitude of faith, of thankfulness, and trust in you! I trust your perfect timing and your perfect way. Use me where I am. Be glorified in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  5. This was right on time. Thank you. I have a good attitude about my employer and about my job. But this devotional spoke to me regarding other relationships. Not only do I need God to help me change my attitude , I also need Him to help me change my heart and mind- it’s definitely a job for my God. I can’t do it solo.

  6. Wow… My Lord! Forgive me for my attitude. I know this message was ment for me. Forgive me, Father. You know that the people I work with are wearing me down with their negativite attitudes. I sometimes don’t even want to come to work. But grateful for it. I have prayed for this and I understand now why i was not able to find another job when I applied. I also know your plans are better than my own. As I learn to be patient. I ask that you continue to use me, and continue to work in me. You know i am always here to help others even when i don’t feel like it. Have Your way my Lord! In Jesus name, Amen.
