“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” Proverbs 29:18 KJV
Vision brings encouragement. Vision keeps us focused. Vision keeps us connected to God. Vision keeps us from being blinded by what we see, but in faith for what we do not see. When God gives you a vision, it’s important to write it down. Visions take time and they require preparation before manifestation. When God first gives us a vision, chances are we aren’t ready for it yet. God has to add some things and take away some things in order to prepare us for what he has shown us. When life happens, it’s easy to get distracted by our daily challenges. When things don’t happen on our time, we tend to forget what God said, not realizing His work takes time. He isn’t going to give it to us prematurely and risk us killing the vision all together. You have to remember that if God said it, He will do it. If He promised you a spouse, He will bring you a spouse. If God promised you debt freedom, He will bring you debt freedom. If He promised you that you would one day own a business, He will make that happen also, but in His timing. Whatever vision God has given you for your life, He is sure to bring it to past. When things get tough, don’t forget about the vision. Go back and remind yourself of what God told you and use that as motivation and encouragement to keep going. Though it tarries it is sure to come. God trusted you enough to give you the vision, just be sure you trust Him enough to bring it to past.
Prayer: Father, thank you for giving me vision to see things the way that you see them. When I become blinded by everyday circumstances, give me vision and sight to keep going. Thank you for always paving a way even when I can’t see. In Jesus name, Amen.
