Stand by your man.

“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.” Ecclesiastes 4:9

Years ago, while standing near the dinner table, I saw my husband with his head on the table. I was feeling frustrated and angry. He was feeling frustrated and angry. I heard thoughts from the enemy telling me I was better off alone. The enemy sounded like the rants of an angry and bitter person who was miserable and wanted me to be lonely and miserable too. But in the midst of all the emotions going on within me, I heard God’s still, small voice say, “Go and stand by your man.” So I stood by him, and we held each other at our side.

As I stood there next to him, a renewed love for him filled my heart and washed over me like a tidal wave. Even though his flaws and weaknesses frustrated me–as I’m sure mine did as well–he was mine, and I was his. In that moment, I decided I would stand by him for the rest of our lives. This caused every voice of the enemy to immediately silence and the voice of the Holy Spirit to be heard loud and clear.

In every home, the enemy is seeking to divide and conquer. He is busy trying to cause people to stand against each other instead of with each other. He appeals to our emotions, and if we don’t know how he operates, we will let him turn a small problem into a really big issue. Hear God’s wisdom today. Don’t give room to the devil. Stand by your man. Yes, he may have flaws, but so do you. Work through issues together and let nothing and no one divide you and cause you to stand on opposite sides of each other. You are stronger together than you are apart.

Prayer: Father, thank you for your wisdom. I pray for everyone in my home that you will comfort and strengthen us as only you can. Help us to work through problems together. I plead the blood of Jesus over my marriage and family, over my children and loved ones. I bind the enemy and put him under my feet. He will not divide and conquer my home. I receive your practical wisdom and choose to walk in it. Help me love him through it. Help me trust you and stand by him while you do what only you can. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. AMEN! Thank you so much for sharing this. It blessed me and I’m gonna share with other
married women as I pray for them

  2. I am going to stand by Father and he will send me the man that He has for me. If he doesn’t I am content with the love of God.

I will not give room to the devil when he says “you are getting old” or “you will not find a man without kids.” If God said it; then, it shall be done. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

  3. This is a hard one. I believe it and receive it. In this very moment I need to decrease, that God may increase. Thank you Sister Kesha.

  4. Great! I have always stood by my man giving them unconditional love and confidence in what they were doing to encourage. This is why I’m will to wait on God and do His will, putting into practice His “Law of Love” as well as “Forgiveness!” Because He(God) stands for me, I have to stand by Him. Because I don’t know at this time if He have someone for me or not, I will wait patiently on Him. To be better and not bitter or have any resentment is what His Holy Spirit living inside of me have helped me grow during the times I was left/put away by these men. The devil tried to break me, but GOD!!! He have turned it around for my good building me up giving me confidence in Him, knowing that He will complete the good work He started in me. Knowing if He wants me to be married He will place that desire in me and arrange a divine appointment for me to meet that person. A man that fears and love Him. Father, I’m thankful that You know the way that I go, and as You try me I shall come forth as gold!! Hallelujah 🙌🙌🙌

Sister Kesha, Amen, the enemy will not divide and conquer my home anymore. I now know it’s about His purpose and not my own. Plus, the men said they didn’t love me anymore and had their reasons why they married me and after they got what they wanted it was over. I so glad that God is near to the broken hearted and mend up their wounds. Thank you sister for this message. 💕💐💜💕💐💜💕💐💜💕💐💜

  5. After years of listening to the lies of the enemy, I finally understand! We war not against flesh and blood! I do believe my husband deserves a medal for loving me unconditionally! He sure has the chest to pin it on! Ohh wee! You’re right, the more we submit our mind, will and emotions to our Father, the more love He gives us, not only for our spouse, but the lost, too! They just don’t know the love of the father because they’ve been held captive by the father of lies. Set our brothers and sisters free, Poppa! Give us boldness to proclaim Truth! You, Jesus! Amen
