God is breathing life into you.

“So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being;” the last Adam a life-giving spirit” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭45‬, Berean Standard Bible.‬‬

When man was formed from the dust of the ground, the Bible says, God breathed into his nostrils, and man became a living soul. When you study Holy Spirit, you discover words like breath, wind, and spirit. I have come face-to-face with my own shortcomings and the shortcomings of those I love. I have been reminded that we are dust. In comforting my heart, the Lord reminds me that as the heavens are high above the Earth, so is His mercy towards us. As a father pities his children, the Lord pities us. He remembers our frame, that we are dust. But the thing about dust is the same man formed from dust, the same man breathed into by God Himself, the same man who became a living soul, is the same man being breathed into by the life-giving Spirit of God today.

God is breathing life into you. He is breathing life into your husband. He is breathing life into your loved ones. The Lord God, who is our resurrection and life, is breathing into your children and supplying them with something they cannot produce on their own. He is doing what you have not been able to do for those around you. You see shortcomings and character defects, but God sees something more. Look beyond the dust and see God moving by His Spirit and bringing life where there’s been sin and frailty.

Your breath may can cool a spoon of hot soup, or warm cold hands. But only our Father’s breath gets us back up on our feet and moving again. And so He will do with everyone you love, including you. His breath, His Holy Spirit, is giving you power to walk in newness of life. The Lord your God remembers your frame, He knows you are dust, and He is showing great mercy as high as the heavens. God is breathing into you!

Prayer: Father God, thank you for ministering deeply to my heart. Only you know how much I need your breath of life. Thank you for your mercy that you’ve shown towards me. Thank you for pitying me and those I love. Breathe into us your life-giving Spirit who causes us to walk in newness of life. My trust is in you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank you, God, for providing a sure way to get to you.

    I pray 🙏🏻 Psalms 41:1-13
A prayer for God’s Mercy when feeling sick (or abandoned). When we’re sick (or when one deserts us). God remains at our side.

Thank you sister, to you & Pastor Bernard.

  5. I had two medical procedures this morning that required anesthesia and ran out of time to read this devotional ahead of time. Thankfully though I did see the title and last thing I remember is that I said to myself, “God is breathing life into me.” He told me everything would be alright and it not a 100% good report but I know God has me in His Hands and is watching over me. The pathology report will come back clear or clean, in the Name of Jesus! By His stripes I am healed!
Thankful God for you breathing Your Life into me!

  6. Amen & Amen! Thank You, Father/Mother God for saving me. Thank you, Sister Kesha, for this loving message. Psalms 103:11-14 is such a sweet reminder of all blessings our God has given us. Lord, I’m grateful ❤️🙏🕊😊
