This Father’s Day had some of us wondering where is God’s man for me? Where is God’s leader for me and my children? Where is my Boaz, my Mr. Right and my knight in shining armor? When we are waiting, it can seem like it’s taking an eternity. We’ve made plans and the delay is messing with our plans, because in our minds, we were supposed to be married by now. We were supposed to be celebrating anniversaries in Hawaii by now. So how does God respond? He says the same thing He’s been saying to His daughters since the beginning, “Rest in Me and wait patiently for Me (see Psalm 37:7). No good thing will I withhold from those who walk uprightly (see Psalms 84:11).”
The bottomline, my sister, is God is preparing you. You may think God is moving too slow, but you are right on schedule. Let Him continue healing you, enriching you, growing you, refining you and adorning you. He is getting you ready and preparing you like Esther. He will present you to your king in His perfect timing and in His perfect way. Marriage is serious business that you will have to be physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually ready and equipped to handle.
The job of a man isn’t to fill a void in your life or complete you. You are complete in God through Jesus. The Lord is the only one who satisfies you to the core of your being. Impatience can cause us to fall for the imitation that often comes before the real thing. But I prophesy to you that in God’s perfect timing, you will receive someone with a different spirit like Joshua. Someone with a heart for God like David. Someone who will fit you like a hand in glove, who will be your bestfriend and your greatest source of support and encouragement in good times and bad. You will receive someone you can be yourself around and who pushes you to be all God called you to be. God is going to give you someone who loves the Lord more than he loves you and who loves you more than he loves himself. He will cherish you and treat you like the treasure you are.
No matter what your past has been and no matter how many children you may have, you will receive God’s man for you. Jesus saw you as worth dying for, God has a man who will see you as worth marrying and caring for.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for encouraging me. You love me and only want the best for me. I believe I am ready to be a wife to the man you have for me, but help me wait on your perfect timing. Prepare me in every area to be a great blessing to him and help me recognize when you bring him into my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Bless you for his Word! I am patiently waiting. I know he’s preparing me for something that will be well worth the wait….
This devotion is everything I prayed in church yesterday…and more. . It wasn’t just Father’s Day, and my sweet Daddy died a month ago..it was also what would have been my 35th wedding anniversary. He left after 23 years and a miracle baby. Some days I still can’t wrap my head around it.
The last time my anniversary fell on Father’s Day, I was still legally married, but he was with “her”. I went forward for prayer after a beautiful message that felt just for me. When I knelt at the alter, I felt my Daddy’s arm come around my lower back and support me. Pastor prayed over us together, knowing our deep pain and call to Jesus.
Things got much worse and an epic divorce that marched on for 4 years.
Today I am free. Today Jesus is saturated into every moment and has seen me through so much terrible. He is my Boaz, always and forever. He came when I called.
I miss Daddy, but I find it so comforting to know he is strong and well in Heaven, working with Jesus. Perhaps there is a beautiful surprise coming in the Lord’s perfect timing 💙
Jesus be with you, sister that is reading this. Don’t let go of Him, and He WILL fight for you. 🙏🕊️💙
I’m sorry to hear you went through so much turmoil, but God is not done with you yet! The best is yet to come ! Keep your head high and have hope! Let that hope be the anchor to the heavens, knowing that God is in control ! Receive your blessing in Jesus name !

My heart is about to explode in this waiting season and confusion has started to move in…at times I feel so much pain in my heart, because so much has happened and I have started wondering why You are making me wait for so long. I have been tirelessly asking, where is my Husband? Thank You for responding. Help me to yield to Your preparation, help me be ready in Jesus Name. Help me to love You more. Amen
Same! It’s been so so hard and the pain has been so so deep due to disappointment after disappointment and it not being “it” yet… God help us and heal us.
I am waiting on the Lord to move…waiting as in singing, praising, praying and doing my Bible Studies….and He’s telling me though the vision tarry wait for for it; so I am still and know He is God and doing work that I cannot see. I know He is faithful to do that which He showed me He would do.

Hi DOT-K family! The Lord pressed me to give testimony of His faithfulness. After going through a divorce, I decided I would not date anyone for at least a year. I began focusing on my relationship with the Lord and recovering from a lifetime of pain and trauma which led to substance abuse and other destructive behaviors. The first year passed so quickly and I didn’t feel ready to pursue a relationship and decided to keep working on me and my family’s healing. I continued to trust in the Lord and wait upon Him to write my love story. Two years passed, three years, four years, and I was still single but had grown mightily in my identity in Christ, acquired my bachelors, and finally had saved enough money to get my own apartment for myself and my three sons. I had prayed to the Lord over those years about who He had planned for me and made my requests known. By the fifth year, I felt peace about going forward. My first date, I met my now husband. The most humorous thing about this is that my ex-husband was the one who recommended the dating website where I connected with my husband. The Lord knew best and honored me. He is so good! Good morning, as I was driving God started ministering to me, telling me that He was preparing me for my husband. Later, I opened up this devotional and it was confirmation. I was not thinking about a husband because it was Father’s Day. The Lord was just ministering to me on the subject.
I am very content being single. So much so that I don’t actively pray for a husband. In not doing so, I am being disobedient to God because He told me I should. So, I will start to pray for my husband.
He showed me beyond a shadow of a doubt years ago that He wanted me to marry. At the time, I had no desire. I said, Lord, I just want to love you and do ministry. I am not feeling marriage even though years ago, I wrote down the vision you gave me of my husband and I traveling the world and doing ministry together. Make it clearly known that it is what you desire for me because I’ve been so hurt and misunderstood by men that I’ve dated and my ex-husband that I just don’t have the desire for marriage. I am so happy alone. To keep the story short, I will forfeit the details, but He showed me in an extraordinary and very special way that the vision was true and His desire for me to marry had not faded.
It is time for me to start praying for my husband because he keeps ministering to me about one. I believe that the time of marriage is near.
