“For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.” Psalms 119:89
Many times in my life I have asked God for a word from heaven. I needed desperately to receive a word that would help me, but instead of giving me something new, He would remind me of what He’s already spoken.
What has God already spoken to you? What has already told you about your situation?
Sometimes we want God to say something new, when He’s already spoken. His word hasn’t changed. That word that He’s already given you is what will sustain you. It will keep you and carry you through any and every storm until you reach the other side.
One primary function of the Holy Spirit in the earth is to bring all things back to our remembrance, whatever God has said unto us. Let the Holy Spirit bring it back to your memory every promise, every word, every prophecy. Let it give you the strength you need to endure hardship as a good soldier. Let His word keep your emotions in check while His anointing goes to work for you.
Say out loud from your heart, “Lord, bring it to my remembrance everything you’ve spoken to me through the years. I need to remember. And when you do, help me hold on to every word and not let go until it becomes a reality in my life. Thank you for loving me enough to speak to me right where I am. I choose to let your word settle every issue in my life as I submit to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
