Jesus is our Righteousness

“And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.” Philippians 3:9

My sister, there’s nothing we can do to deserve God’s favor and goodness in our lives. We could live a squeaky clean life and do everything right, and still, that wouldn’t be enough. God favors us because of no righteousness of our own. Everything we are, everything we have received, and everything God has done for us and through us are because of Jesus.

We could have really messed up, and now the enemy is bombarding our minds with thoughts of guilt and condemnation. It can make us not want to pray or do anything for God because we feel messy. But sister, the truth is, apart from Jesus, we are all messy. No amount of sin can cause us to be disqualified for His use. It’s all through Jesus that we are who we are and can do anything worth anything for God.

Remember not to let pride grip you when you’re doing well, and don’t let pride grip you when you mess up. Let’s hide in Christ, my sister, and receive the blessing of peace with God and the righteousness we have received through Jesus.

Prayer: Hallelujah! Thank you, Father, for helping to get this into my spirit. I hide in Christ, and I receive the blessing. I hide in Christ and resist all feelings of guilt and condemnation. Oh Father, I’m so thankful you have washed me clean through the blood of Jesus and made me righteous. I love and praise you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  4. God is my righteousness and my Fortress Whom Shall I Fear thank you God for saving me and taking me from glory to glory where I could not go if I did not have you your mercy and Grace is renewed daily and no matter what but they can separate me from your love praise God hallelujah

  7. I agree, believe and receive it. I humble myself knowing that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

    I turn away from pride, guilt and condemnation. I except the mercy and grace that is given to me through the Blood of Jesus and the Word of God. Thank the Lord. For it is His Glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  10. I can read the same verse over and over again, and learn something new every time. Truly I Thank YOU LORD for your patience, and guidance, never leaving my side, believing in ME!! You have been carrying me a long time!! AMEN!!
