“And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always]” Colossians 3:15, Amplified.
When your mind and emotions are full of care and worry, there’s only one thing that can settle you—the truth of God’s Word. When everything in our lives crumble, His Word stands firm. When we feel sad, angry or uncertain about the future, His Word stands firm. When everything seems shaken, His powerful truth stands firm like a rock. So let the truth of God’s Word settle you. Let it settle your mind, and your emotions. Let Him minister peace to your heart. I challenge you right now to focus on a scripture from God’s Word and speak it out loud. See how His Word will bring you back into focus and calm your emotions. God wants to settle you today!
Prayer: Father, I know that my emotions have been full of care and concern. You are my Father and you love and care for me. I know your Word is settled forever in heaven. I ask that your Word will settle me right now. Settle my emotions, and my mind as I focus on you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Good morning Lauren 🤗 I don’t just want to pray for you but also encourage you to do exactly what this devotion says Let the Truth of God’s Word Settle you! There are soooo many comforting promises in the Word of God. When we get into the word I mean really get into it, with a surrendered heart and ask the Spirit for guidance, wisdom and understanding as we read, we get a clear view of the immense love God has for us and His magnificent character. His love overflows our hearts. Then, when we love, trust and obey Him, those precious promises come alive in our hearts and our lives. Our perspectives on even the worse situation changes because we begin to see with heavenly eyes. God is in control my dear sister….whatever you are going through He is there and just wants you to give it all to Him. Lauren, I pray peace upon your situation and your life as you let His word settle you. Just trust Him…

You are in my prayers and thoughts. The first thing you have to do is tell the enemy he is a liar. Cast him away right now in the name of Jesus. Whatever your going through will not defeat you, because God has the final say. We will not give the enemy a thrill ride, thinking he’s going to have his way. God says cast all your cares on him.
