My sister, give Him no rest!

"Then Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray at all times and not lose heart: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected men. And there was a widow in that town who kept appealing to him, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’ For a while he refused, but later he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect men, yet because this widow keeps pestering me, I will give her justice. Then she will stop wearing me out with her perpetual requests.’ ” And the Lord said, “Listen to the words of the unjust judge. Will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry out to Him day and night? Will He continue to defer their help? I tell you, He will promptly carry out justice on their behalf. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?" Luke 18:1-8, Berean Study Bible

My sister, God wants you to keep coming to Him about that situation that's bothering you. He hears you and He will not defer your help. Crying out to God seemingly for the millionth time doesn't mean you lack faith. You know He is the only one who can do something about it, and that is actually a demonstration of your faith. Give Him no rest until He does what He said He would do for you (see Isaiah 62:7).

Prayer: Father God, thank you for speaking to my heart. I choose to continue to cry out to you even if it seems like I've asked hundreds of times for you to save, heal and deliver; I'm going to keep on asking because you are the only one who can do something about this situation I face. I know you will respond in your perfect timing and in your perfect way, yet I will not give up on crying out to you. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  1. This devotional word comes right on time. I have been discouraged, feeling invisible, rejected and forgotten. It has been daunting to pray lately. Sometimes we just do not know what is actually going on within. This devotional encourages me to push through continually in faith through prayer. Pray Until Something Happens (PUSH). My breakthrough will come. I will not give up. Thank you Sis. Kesha. Blessings, Shalom and Agape.🙏🏽❤🙏🏽❤🙏🏽

  2. I have been going through something and i have prayed and prayed. Injustices were meted out to me but the more i prayed, situations stayed the same. I ask where is the God of justice?. Its hard sometimes to keep the faith.

    1. Keep
Standing in Faith he is a God of justice and he will fight your battles. The deliverance may take a minute but he will take care of you as his child! Prayers for you

  3. Thank God!!!🙌🙌🙌
    Good Morning Sister Kesha.
This devotional speaks to my situation. I looked at that parable in the Bible, so it kept me crying out. And then when I heard a sermon on it, it talked about her persistence as if she didn’t have faith. So, I didn’t think I had too much faith. So what I would do was pray about the situation sometimes because I didn’t want God to know that I was learning to trust and learning to have faith in Him with my circumstances.Learning to know that He is the only One who could help me because I have tried everything and with people that had connects. Thank you, Sister Kesha, because this lets me know that is my faith is growing as well as my trust in Him. He is the only One that can do something about my situation. I will continue to “PRESS ON” in Jesus Name.😭🙏👏👏👏👏

  6. Pastor Kesha I just thank you for bringing this great message.I believe we all needed to hear it. I thank you for bringing it.

  7. In several other passages also it says to be persistent, consistent and repetitive with requests.

Also ask if anything is a barrier to your prayer being answered, ask God to remove it.

For example, it’s written that God doesn’t respond to those who are scorners, proud, haughty and other things.

  8. Sometimes I feel like such a failure…sometimes I wonder if I will ever get to that level of spiritual maturity that God requires of me… I just keep failing myself and God. May God have mercy on me and help me to stay on this path, and no matter how often I stumble or stray, may I always find my way back to Him and press on!
