Who are you sharing your secrets with, my sister?

Scripture tells us in Psalms 25:14, “The LORD confides in those who fear Him, and reveals His covenant to them.” Other translations say He confides or has a friendship with those who honor and fear Him. When I first saw this scripture, I was amazed that the maker of heaven and earth tuck secrets away and saves them only to be shared with His chosen few. He is responsible in a way I have not been.

In my life, I’ve trusted far too quickly. Don’t let me discover someone loves Jesus, enjoys coffee shops, and loves to laugh, pray and dance like me. I’m about to share my entire life story and all my business! Lol. Then sitting in my tears like a woman whose new beau ran off, God comforts me and reminds me of how He operates. He says, “Child, you can’t rush intimacy. You can’t rush sharing your secrets just because you are excited. Wait and build trust over time. I wait until I know someone has a healthy fear and reverence for Me that only comes through getting to know My love, My ways, and My character. It’s here a little, there a little with Me.”

My sister, who are we sharing our secrets with? Have they proven themselves to be faithful and true to you? Samson found himself confiding in the wrong person. Delilah was conspiring with the enemy to capture him, and here he was telling her everything. My sister, our secrets are not to be carelessly shared. Tuck away God’s plan for your life, the dreams He has put in your heart and those kingdom ideas. Tuck away your deepest fears, weaknesses, and longings for the one who has proven themselves trustworthy over time.

Declare with me today, “My Father God doesn’t share His secrets randomly and carelessly, and neither do I. With God’s help, I take my time and build trust in every relationship and friendship before sharing intimate details about my life. I declare I am spiritually discerning and wise. I trust God’s process, which removes the need to rush intimacy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

  7. You know I have did this so many times to share my secrets with other because it was said that they love God. But, then, I closely monitored their actions because I keep getting hurt by these individuals and I would always go to each person trying to clear it up and it always backfired. None took responsibility for breaking confidentially. A couple of them told me isn’t I suppose to forgive them 70×7. Needless to say I stopped sharing, but I still had conversations with them and I stopped eating or spending time with any one of them. I asked The Lord to help me to forgive, not to have bitterness, or resentment to them. To love them with giving out grace and mercy because of how He have shown so much to me. I was hurt because I thought as we confessed, I would be healed from that issue. The Bible is true, but I forgot to guard my heart and wait on a “True friend.” So, because of this lesson I learned, I had to realize that I have a “FRIEND IN JESUS”, ONE that sticks closer than a brother!!! I’m still participating in telling Jesus all my worries, doubts, and struggles, heart aches, and the ugly, everything that hinders me from having a clean heart. Remembering how to approach our Lord and Saviour. I’m still growing, learning, being guided as well as instructed by His Holy Spirit. I don’t get it right all the time, but I ask for forgiveness and I repent asking Him to help me to have a change of mind and heart to lead me from that destruction. Right now, I’m waiting for The Lord to send me a friend. But I’m gladly sharing with Him so I can rest in Him. This is the lesson in which He is showing me that I need to do is “COME” to Him because I always went to someone else first. He knows best for us and what we need!!! He loves us so much!!!☺️😭☺️🛐🛐🛐❤️❤️❤️
