My sister, you are covered!

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” John 16:33, Amplified Bible

Imagine that you are standing in a glass dome. The glass is so clear and transparent that you have to stay reminded that just because you can see something coming at you or hear loud noise all around you, doesn’t mean it will destroy you. You are in Christ and you are covered at every side by His impenetrable shield, sealed with His Holy Spirit of promise (see Colossians 3:3; Ephesians 1:13). You are in the palm of God’s hand, and nothing can pluck you out (see John 10:29).

Next time you see bad news coming your way, picture that news running right into the glass dome that surrounds you and falling to the ground. See that negative report slamming right into the protective shield of God’s truth and falling to the ground. Because you are covered at every side, my sister, all is well. All is well in your soul. All is well with you because you are covered by your Father.

Prayer: Thank you, Father, for speaking this truth to my heart. Let me understand it more deeply until it becomes revelation that brings great transformation in my life. Thank you that all is well with me because I am covered by you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

(Read Isaiah 54:17)

  2. This analogy is so perfect! When that bad news hits that glass, it crumbles. It reminds of Deut 28:7 the enemy comes in one way but will flee seven different ways! Whew, great Word 😮‍💨

  3. So good! I feel the presence of God so strong here at work right now! I am ready to jump and shout but because I am at work, Im gone calm down or maybe not. 🙂 Glory be to god! Hey! Hallelujah!!!!! Whew, which I could just stay right here and commune with the Lord, but my lunch break is dwindling down. Hallelujah!

  4. I love the imagery of this one! I can’t find the right translation but I thought Psalm 18 said He encircles me with His protection. I have been reading scripture this morning but for some reason didn’t feel settled until I read this devotional. Thank You God for reminding me of Your Goodness.

  5. Yes, I am under the shadow of the Lord wings in whom I can trust. Jeremiah 5:22 the Lord placed the sand, a boundary for the sea, an eternal decree and perpetual barrier beyond which the enemy cannot cross. Help me Lord not to fear. Thank you for this encouraging devotional
    Blessings, Shalom and Agape 👀🙏🏽♥️📖🙌🏽
