Praise looks good on you!

“Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful” Psalm 33:1, NKJV.

I can think of a list of things I consider beautiful. A sunrise over a calm sea. The moon and stars in the night sky. A mother holding her baby for the first time. Blooming flowers in Spring. A family holding hands and praying together. Yet, none of these things compare to how the Lord feels when we praise Him. To God, nothing is more beautiful than watching you lift your hands, sing your song and do your dance because you know He’s good and nothing is too hard for Him. Praise looks good on you, my sister! You look absolutely amazing when you are bragging on God and telling everyone around you how awesome your God is and what only He can do! All of the heaviness is being lifted from off of you now. The Lord is turning your mourning into dancing. The Lord is turning your sorrow into joy. He is filling your mouth with praise. He is helping you trust Him like never before. He is giving you the strength to bless Him this day with a shout, with a dance and with a new song because praise looks good on you!

Prayer: Father, I praise you for all that you are and all you’ve done for me. I praise you because you are my God and nothing is too hard for you. Thank you for removing all heaviness and for giving me a garment of praise. Help me talk about how good you are, rather than how bad problems are. Help me keep praise in my mouth because you are good and you are faithful! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  2. Father, I have learned that whatever the enemy throws at me,You will turn it around to complete me! You who began a good work in me, will be faithful to complete it. Nothing in all creation can separate me from Your magnificent love that goes above and beyond anything I could even think of or imagine. You have always provided for all my needs and drawn me out of every pit! Thank you, Jesus, that I am seated with You in heavenly places and get to be a partaker of Your divine nature!

  3. Praise to the Lord, God Almighty! Praise Him all creatures here and below!
Praise to the One who made me, knows me and loves me to die for me on the Cross! He is the Lord Almighty and nothing is to hard for Him, not when I had 10 minutes of blood left & so many injuries; not when I lack words, or energy or money. He has been my God of the Impossible so many many times, smoothing out the rough paths, showing me how to climb the mountain and opening doors !
I’m telling all of you, her words of β€œHe is doing a new thing & you are not the same person” is happening in my life!
Just minutes before reading todays note I had thoughts of despair about work for tomorrow but now I praise Him for all He’s done to get me here…58 years worth! He’s reminded me of
    2 Timothy 1:9 (KJV)
β€œWho hath saved us, and called [us] with an holy calling,
    not according to our works,
but according to his own purpose and grace,
which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,”
It’s according to His own purpose and grace and not my own understanding, not my own anything but who I am to Him! My life is not a que sera sera thing, (not a whatever may be will be) but it was planned out in Christ Jesus before creation and I live by standing on His promise to never leave me, to serve Him by serving others and I will do it with all the 9 fruits of the Spirit and praising Him too!

  6. If God is so great why does He need an ego boost of being praised? This mystery I will never understand but I do try to praise but it often feels a lil dumb. And forced cuz I’m “supposed to do it” but only a narcissist would want let alone need praise from us lil sinner humans. I guess praise is weirdly Gods love language. Strange flex but hey

  7. HALLELUJAH!! God I praise You For being good! I praise You For being who You are no matter what the situation is, You are good and You are faithful! Let praises forever be in my mouth! God bless you woman of god! πŸ’œβ€οΈβ™₯️
