Scripture Share

Please slowly read the text below and share what stands out to you most and why:

“Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭12‬-‭15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  1. Oh Lord first of all this means confirmation! But when reading this it says he chose us what a privilege. second we are representatives to the kingdom of God, who Christ is because he lives on the inside of each one of us. Then it reminds me to give what has been given to me. I have been forgiven for so much in this life so I should be giving out forgiveness. It also reminds me to look into what the Bible says about love 1 Cor chapter 13.

  2. This devotional reminds me that it is a blessing to do unto others as you have received from the Lord and/or want done unto you. Mercy and Grace. Thank you. Blessings, Shalom and Agape 👀🙏🏽♥️📖🙌🏽

  3. Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves.
*He wants us to walk with the same type of character

you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you.
God forgave us, we must do the same. Above all else walk in love which binds us together.

Let the peace of God, helps us live in peace, walk in peace, like Christ does.

    Thank you God!

  4. As followers of Christ, we must make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you as the scripture says.

We must not be too quick to pin point others faults. This scripture verse is one that remains me, not to be too quick to hold on to my sisters wrong.. I must be very quick to forgive.

  5. This reminds me that love covers a multitude of sins. The love of God to us and that love shared with others. Love in action is a beautiful thing 💜🫂

  6. I’ve been holding on to a resentment tightly because I’ve felt justified in doing so. I am wrong for that. The time to forgive is now. Jesus didn’t die on the cross for me to be bitter, He intended for us all to be happy joyous and free and have a life of abundance. Dear God, I pray you remove this resentment from my heart, I pray you will bless the person who did me wrong, and I pray for anyone here who are struggling to find peace. In Jesus name, Amen. Thank you for today’s devotional…I needed that. May God bless you all.

  7. What stands out to me most in this passage is the emphasis on forgiveness and love: “Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.”

This stands out because forgiveness and love are powerful yet often challenging acts. Forgiveness requires humility and a willingness to release resentment, while love requires us to extend grace and kindness even when it’s not easy. These qualities align with God’s expectation that we reflect His character by embodying mercy, patience, and gratitude in our interactions with others.

The idea that love binds us all together in perfect harmony resonates deeply, highlighting how our relationships thrive when love is the foundation. It serves as a reminder of God’s calling for unity and peace, both within ourselves and our communities.

  8. Amen! Thank You Lord for allowing me to be part of the Body of Jesus Christ. When much is given much is required. We are to forgive as we have been forgiven. Love as we have been loved unconditionally, To freely give as we have been freely given. Thank You Father for all your wonderful benefits that’s you load us up with daily. We can’t beat you giving.,Thank You Jesus for dying on the cross for us all.♥️♥️♥️

  9. One part that stood out to me was the part about making allowances for each other’s faults. I know I need to do that more for the people closest to me. I think sometimes we can be hardest on those who are the closest to us, while allowing much more grace for a stranger. For whatever reason.

Another part was the part about us clothing ourselves in love and living in perfect harmony. If only we could do that now, instead of focusing so much on our differences and disagreements. I think if we focused more on our similarities, it would bring us closer; and those differences would just be seen as what make us unique individuals.
