“You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety” Job 11:18, NIV.
While standing in a grocery store line waiting to check out, the cashier looks at me and she has an upset look on her face. I asked her if she’s ok. Her eyes beginning to tear up, she tells me, “No ma’am, I’ve been here since very early this morning and they haven’t given me a break.” Staring at her I felt sorry for her, but couldn’t help but wonder why she just wouldn’t take the break she knew she needed. It was up to her to go to her manager and ask for a break.
My sister, I’m going to tell you the same thing God spoke to me. You are responsible for giving your body the rest it needs. Not anyone else. You can’t wait for someone to come to you and say, “You look tired. Let me give you a break from all of these responsibilities.” It’s up to you to open up and say, “Hey, I need a break.”
This doesn’t mean you empty your family savings account and fly off to Hawaii somewhere. It only means you do what is necessary to recharge while considering the financial state of your family. The demands of life are best handled when we are rested.
Prayer: Father God, I thank you for your guidance and wisdom. Forgive me for not taking care of my body and giving it the rest it needs. Let your wisdom and grace abound in my life. Help me open up when I need rest. Help me Lord to handle life wisely and stay balanced. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
(Read Psalm 3:5; Matthew 11:28)
It’s hard to rest when u feel uncomfortable not being busy or feel guilty when not productive. Gotta try make new habits cuz you are right, unless you rest properly then you aren’t as productive as you could be anyways. Like office employees who for example try to impress, by staying at work 12 hours instead of the eight they are paid for – in the name of “working hard” – they usually less productive than the people who do the eight. Cuz they procrastinate, are tired fed up and bored, unfocused and not a clear head. Plus neglecting personal relationships and health. And are a joke doing unpaid labor to try and impress people who don’t care enough to tell them they are acting dumb. (Like men who in the office all day, come home late, tired in a coma watching TV, ignoring family, get overweight and eventually wife fed up, leaves him).
Oh how this speaks volumes in so many ways. May anxiety, actions and all thoughts be at peace so I may rest for clarity, strength and most importantly the Glory of our Heavenly Father.
Blessings, Shalom and Agape. 🙏❤🙏❤🙏
Rest in Jesus As your body needs And relax Along with meditation Filling refresh🙏🏽
I can relate to comment that it’s hard to take a rest because there is so much comfort is being busy and feeling productive. I have forced myself the last couple nights to just be still after working all day. It has something to do with boredom too, that is being still, then the temptation of grabbing a glass of wine comes to numb out. I’m for using on the Lord to help me replace these old habits with new. Another great meditation Krishna, thank you.
Amen…..Amen & Amen….As Usual This Was Much Needed…
Right on time! I’m better for the kingdom when I’m better for me! To God be the Glory!
Funny how something gets to rolling around in your spirit, and before you know it someone is putting it into perspective for you.
Thank you for the stark reminder that getting my rest is my responsibility’.
This goes along with what I have been meditating the last few days, “Don’t try to live your life by someone else’s standards.”
Amen! Thank God for His wisdom that He bestows upon Sister Kesha. Also, thank God for rest. We all deserve it at one time or another.🤗✝️

THANK YOU LORD for Confirming that I can REST❣️(Mind, Body and Soul) 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
After all, if even God needed to rest after His work, why do we think we don’t need to! Rest is a great way to connect with Him, and hear His voice.
