“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” Isaiah 9:6, NKJV.
God revealed to Isaiah concerning the birth of Jesus over 700 years prior to Jesus’ birth. That’s approximately 2700 years prior to the birth of you and I. The most precious gift the world would ever receive was on God’s mind, and was on the inspired minds of His prophets. The prophet Isaiah never held the baby Jesus, but he held the promise.
My sister, the Lord wants you to enjoy the gift of Jesus, not once, not twice, but everyday of your life. Let Jesus be the gift that keeps giving to you through His many names. He’s the bottomless gift box that continues to surprise us with all of His attributes. Isaiah prophesied His name would be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. All of these, He will be for you always and forever.
Prayer: Lord, I love you. I believe you were born, you died on the cross, and you were raised to life. I believe you are the savior of the world. Help me continue to walk with you and receive from you. You’re my most precious Gift. Help me experience more and more of who you are to me. You’re the gift that keeps on giving. Amen.
Amen to the Great Amen
