“And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” Philippians 2:8
Jesus could have numbed Himself from the pain as the Roman soldiers ripped through His flesh while beating Him almost to the point of death. He could have lost His temper and sent a legion of angels to destroy them all, but instead, He prayed, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” He could have given up the ghost after six seconds, but He allowed Himself to suffer for six grueling hours on the cross. He allowed Himself to feel everything, the crushing thorns, the piercing nails, the wood rubbing against His broken skin as He carried the cross. He let Himself be subjected to the ridicule, mocking and spitting. He allowed it all. And why? Because He loves you and He loves me. To Him, we were worth it. His death removed our sin and shame and made it possible for all to be saved. His resurrection made it possible for us to walk in newness of life. What a display of love!
On this special day as we celebrate what Jesus did for all of humanity over 2,000 years ago, let’s take the time to tell Him thank you from our hearts!
Prayer: Lord, you didn’t have to do it, but I’m so glad you did. Thank you for your sacrifice for me. Help me not lose sight of it but receive your saving grace all over again. I receive your love and truth. Help me tell more and more people about you. With all my heart, I thank you, Lord!

Thank You Jesus for what you did on the cross but even now in heaven, you’re not erasing your markers the scars in your hands in your feet because you want to be reminded of how much you love us!
I have a big scar down my right leg and it looks a little bit different because of surgery and the repair. The doctors had to do so many times I think I wish I could have two perfect legs.. and here you are in heaven looking at your scars and you just see love it just it’s amazing to me how you don’t want to erase the scars because you don’t wanna forget the memory of what you did for us. You are an amazing Savior.!

Thank you for your sacrifice for me. I am in awe…and so thankful that You thought I was worth saving,you came and changed my life. You thought I was worth keeping, so you cleaned me up inside. You thought I was to die for, so you sacrificed your life so I could be free!!! Lord, you didn’t have to do it, but I’m so glad you did. There is NO GREATER LOVE!!!
