When you are weak, He is strong.

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me” 2 Corinthians 12:9, NIV.

As I laid my head on the kitchen table one morning, I confessed to God that I didn’t feel like praying. It wasn’t that I didn’t love Him, but I felt as though I had no energy left to press in to Him like I normally do. Right there as I poured out my heart before my loving Father, He began to strengthen me. God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. So there’s no need for us to ever pretend that we’re not weak and needy of Him. Let Him be your strength. Let Him give you the spiritual boost you need to go on.

Thank the Lord that He hears the faintest cries and He lifts us up. He is a good God who is faithful to give us the grace and strength we need right when we need it. Pour out your heart to Him and let Him renew your strength today.

When you are weak, my friend, He is strong.

Prayer: Father God, I bless you for your goodness and your faithfulness. When I don’t feel like praying, thank you that you’re not mad. You know my need and you meet it every time. Thanks for loving me the way you do. I need you more than anything. I receive your strength right now. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  6. In my life, I’ve had many health issues, many serious surgeries, yet, He never failed to give me strength to go on! Jesus was there to guide the doctors with my heart surgery, and when the brain surgery for Trigeminal Neuralgia left my face numb, He was there.
It took months of rehab to learn to eat, talk normally and walk steadily.
My husband would come to the nursing home everyday and lay down beside me on my bed…and just hold me.
I was only in my early 50’s, so this was devastating to me; my career as a nurse was over.
I began to think about the things I COULD do, the things that God had blessed me with, especially a supportive family who loved God, and loved me!
Today, I am 65. I take a small mirror with me whenever we eat out, to keep my mouth wiped appropriately. I had a choice to never eat out again, or to live my life! I chose to live the life that God gave me.
How blessed I am too have such a loving Father! When I am weak …He is STRONG!
I feel that someone needed to hear this today…Sincerely, Connie

    1. If we could all realize that He will never leave us…or forsake us when we trust in Him. Hard times, trials and grief come to all of us on this journey … He carries us when our footsteps fail! I am reminded of His sacrifice on the cross.
