Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you. Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you…” Jeremiah 29:11-14a, Amplified.
My sister, we won’t find our purpose at the spa. We won’t find it by asking our friends a million questions about us. And no matter how many online assessments we take, it won’t tell us God’s purpose and plan for our lives. The only way we truly discover God’s purpose is through seeking the Lord with all of our heart. Sometimes we want to take the short cut, but there are none. We will have to do it the old-fashioned way and seek His face.
The powerful thing is, God promises that when we search for Him with our whole heart, we will find Him. He utters this short, but powerful phrase, “I will be found by you.” I remember when I first read those words, they leaped off the page! God says, “I will be found by you, Marie! I will be found by you, Rachel! Whatever your name is, you can put your name there and make it personal to you. This means your search for God’s purpose and plan for your life will not come up empty. The Lord anticipates you discovering more of His purpose and plans for your life. What great things He has in store for you when you do!
Prayer: Father God, thank you that you care so much for me that you designed a specific purpose for me. You know me better than anyone because you made me. So, I search for you with all my heart. Help me discover your plans. Reveal to me the purpose you were thinking of when you were forming me in my mother’s womb, and help me move forward into it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I was just praying in the car on the way to work about 20 minutes ago for direction and his will for my life. I laid out the things that I wanted and asked him for confirmation if that is where I needed to go and if not to give me peace. I’ve strayed for so long and this year was my turn around year. I am so thankful for how far he has brought me.

My two teenage boys are growing up and I’m trying desperately to keep there eyes on Jesus. So my husband and I are not forcing so much church on them but trying to find new ways to incorporate the word into their lives. I asked them to memorize a verse for me on Sunday I also asked them to pray and see what God reveals to them The verse was Jeremiah 29:11. I really was hoping they would go on their own and read the rest of the verses. I will be found by you when you seek me with all your heart. Prayers God reveals himself to them and just continues to work in their hearts and lives.
