You’re In His Hands

“…As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand” Jeremiah 18:6, NLT.

While talking with a dear friend, she said, life will get hot but we get to choose what it shapes and molds us into. Those words have stuck with me ever since I heard them. We can’t control the temperature of life’s trials but one thing we can control is how it molds us. Will we become an angry and bitter sword that wants others to hurt as much as we do? Or, will we put our life in the hands of our Father and let Him shape us into something that glorifies Him. My prayer is that no matter how hot it gets, that we let the Lord shape us into a bowl that He pours Himself into and pours His love through.

Prayer: Lord, help me yield to the pressing of your hands as you shape me into what you want me to be. Help me not focus on the temperature of any situation but on how blessed I am to be in your hands. Shape me into a vessel of honor that can be used for your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
