Don’t turn back. You’ve come too far.

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness” Isaiah 41:10, Berean Standard Bible.

When I decided to go skydiving years ago, I brought my husband along. We climbed the high altitude in the small plane, and everything in me said girl what are you doing? I was scared but we jumped and lived to tell the tale. Then I decided to go white water rafting with my best friend. We traveled by bus up that mountain, and I thought to myself, girl what are you doing? We did it though and had a blast. Years later, I climbed into an underwater “mermaid” cave in Hawaii, went inside a lava tube, went parasailing for the first time. But nothing compares to the courage it took to travel overseas by myself. Every time, I thought, what in the world am I doing? But I did it anyway and lived to tell the tale.

My sister, in life, God will give you the strength and courage to follow through with promises you’ve made to yourself. He is right there, climbing the high altitude with you. He is right there going deep into the valley with you. He is your strength. He is your personal bravery. The Lord God is your invincible army. You won’t turn back in fear. Not this time. You and I both know you’ve come too far. You can do this with the help of God. Lean into Him and let Him supply you with everything you need.

Prayer: Father, you didn’t bring me this far to leave me. So, I lean into you now and receive your strength and courage to do what others have been too afraid to do. I receive your strength and courage to be what others have been too afraid to be in this earth. Help me shine for you. Help me live by faith. Help me trust you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
