God can use anyone.

“And so he did only a few miracles there because of their unbelief” Matthew 13:58, Berean Standard Bible.

Here we find Jesus performing only a few miracles in His hometown of Nazareth because the people simply didn’t believe. This means Jesus came and a blind person remained blind. Jesus taught in their synagogues and a lame person remained lame. Jesus walked by and a paralyzed person remained sitting there on the stairs. They refused to believe He was anything more than Mary and Joseph’s son, with brothers and sisters they saw around town. Their deeply offended and hardened hearts stopped the supernatural flow of God’s Spirit.

Before we shake our heads and before we point our fingers, many of us are no different. We’ve become master scoffers in this day and time. We sit on our phones, scrolling past prophetic messages that our sister posts, scrolling past the prayer for healing our brother shares. We don’t stop and say, praise God! I receive that! Instead, we say, Look at her trying to prophesy and share wisdom. I know her family. I know her kids. Who does he think he is? Pastor who? Doctor who? Apostle who? Prophet who? He’s ordinary like me. Trying to be God’s mouth-peice. I know where he grew up. He’s no different from me. Refusing to see people as anything more than what we’ve always know them to be.

And with this attitude, we fall short of experiencing the glory of God, the mighty delivering hand of God, the supernatural provision of God, and His miraculous power. We do it to ourselves, and wonder why we are still in the same place as before, dealing with the same issues for years wondering when will our healing and breakthrough come. It came! But we rejected it! The healing miracle gift came, but we didn’t believe it could come through them, so they could only encourage us and leave. The life changing prophetic word of God tried to speak through our husband, but we refused to believe the gift of God could operate in him. We might as well stop praying for God to do anything if we’re going to reject Him when He shows up through His people.

Just like Jesus didn’t look like the Savior of the world, His anointed servants will not look anything like what we expect. A miracle working daughter of God may be covered in tattoos with pink hair and wearing flip flops, but she has the gift of healing and if we receive her, we will be abundantly blessed. God is pouring out His Spirit upon all flesh. So this means He is using all flesh to bring about His miracles. Just because you know someone’s history doesn’t mean you know their gifting, their calling or their destiny. God needs us to stay in great expectancy in this season. He can use anyone.

Prayer: Lord, I repent for dishonoring your people and what you can do through them. Help me honor people like I would want someone to honor me. Help me not despise prophecies. Help me not be a scoffer. Remove all unbelief from my heart. Help me be a true woman of faith who lives in great expectation of you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. Who told you to out me like that…..LOL.

Thank you because I was here yesterday after fasting for three days telling God how I need him .like a parched desert needs rain. I habe seen a few messages and just hissed my teeth. Thank you for the scolding. It is received. The battle gets tiring sometimes I guess. Thank you

  2. I’ve been guided by the Holy Spirit these past days, which I don’t share with anyone, I’ve been suffering with neuropathy after having heart valve surgery two years ago, different advice has appeared on my utube page, and I believe God has confirmed it in ways that no one else has 🙏
