“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…” Jeremiah 1:5, New Living Translation

One day the Lord asked me, what is your earliest memory of Me demonstrating My love for you? I said when I received you in my heart at 12 years old at the church revival. He then said I need you to think further back. He took me all the way back to my birth. He said I was with you when you were alone in an incubator for four months as a premature baby. I made sure the doctors and nurses took great care of you. My angels sang to you. I was there comforting you while you were in foster care for those four months after leaving the hospital. I made sure the staff was kind and caring. I saved your mother and helped her get stable so she could care for you. Then the Lord walked me through every moment of my childhood and my teen years until now. Today, He says, daughter, your entire life is a demonstration of My intense love, My special care, and My intentional grace.

What is your earliest memory of when the Lord demonstrated His love for you? Take a moment to think back. Let the Lord guide you through your life and show you that He was with you in every moment from your birth to now. Way before you surrendered your life to Him, He was right there. Hear Him say, daughter, your entire life is a demonstration of My intense love, My special care, and My intentional grace.

Now would be a good time to say, thank you, Lord. You were with me in my mother’s womb. When I took my first breath, you were right there. You made sure nothing would stop me from being here. Before I knew anything about you, you knew everything about me, and you still loved me. You demonstrated your love in how you comforted me, and helped me get through every moment of my life. Thank you for your intense love, your special care, and your intentional grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. Yes… I Thank the Lord, God Almighty, our Heavenly Father. ♥️ I been through a lot from birth but I still here fighting the good fight of faith. I know if the enemy had his way I would not be here or my situation would be drastic. I may not be where I like to be but God kept me. Thank you Sis. Keisha for this timely devotional.     My mother was on her way to an abortion in a taxi that crashed a few blocks away for the abortion clinic. The driver & her friend were hurt. My mom wanted to walk to the clinic. The EMT said, no ma’am, this is a taxi company, you must go to the hospital. They took her to a catholic hospital, at 20 she had no idea and asked if she could have the abortion there…. lol. The doctor had a fit and my catholic grandmother walked in and found out she was pregnant. I was almost kidnapped when I was a baby… during my tween years ,almost raped and when I rebelled and went wild…. my younger sister contracted HIV at age 17 ( she’s passed) and I was all over the place and not an STD … I KNOW IT’S TMI BUT I DON’T CARE… GOD WAS WITH ME WAY BEFORE I MET HIM AT AGE 33. I NEVER WENT TO CHURCH TILL THEN. AND MY LIFE JUST CHANGED COMPLETELY. SO MUCH MORE TO TESTIFY…. PRAISE AND GLORY BE ONTO GOD ALMIGHTY 🙏🏻

  4. I remember the time I was not treated well at the age of 5 – God was right there with me and I know I was being protected. God was with me then and some many times after that and He is right here now with me. God has demonstrated His love for me in many ways. I am grateful for His love towards me.
    Thank you for this devotional to remind me.

I don’t remember the first 9 years of my life because of the trauma except for one memory.I was 6 years old in vacation Bible school I was making a plaque of Jesus,I remember the exact color of the wood,the exact piece of metal that was used for the hanger the size and everything,but what I remember more than anything was Jesus unconditional love shining from that picture I remember that,I don’t remember anything else of that 9 years but I remember that exactly that was the first time I encountered God,I know my God protected my mind from those 9 years and give me him out of it all to remember.I live my life now for Him,my Lord and Savior.

Even when I turned the wrong way, took the rocky road when You were telling me to go down the path of least resistance, You path for me! Thank You Father! I Love You!
