Are you listening?

“Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you. The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight” Proverbs 4:5-7, ESV.

When my mother told me as a child to not touch the stove because it’s hot, I listened and didn’t touch the stove. When she told me as a teenager to leave certain girls alone because they meant me no good, I listened and left the girls alone. When she told me as a young adult to stay focused on finishing college and not let anything throw me off course, thank God I listened and finished school. It wasn’t her wisdom alone that did it, it was me listening to her that saved my life. Likewise, it’s not God’s wisdom alone that will do it, it’s you listening to Him that will save your life.

What is God telling you? What hot situation has He told you not to touch? What relationships has He instructed you to leave alone? What has He told you to stay focused on finishing and not allow anything or anyone to throw you off course?

Are you listening to Him?

I have found in my life the voice of God sounds much like a wise mother, but it is up to us to say, “Yes, Lord!” and do what He says.

I challenge you today to read the Book of Proverbs. Receive the nuggets of wisdom found in it. There’s all sorts of wisdom nuggets that deal with everyday life. If reading the entire book is too difficult for you, take one chapter a day and meditate on the wisdom you discover. God only wants the best for you, but you have to listen to Him and do what He says.

Prayer: Father God, I pray you forgive me for every time I didn’t listen to you. Help me God to listen. Give me a teachable and quiet spirit. I don’t want to go through unnecessary heartache because I didn’t listen to you. You know what’s best for me and you have my best interest in mind. I trust you. I want to be wise Lord and follow hard after you. Help me to grow in wisdom and in grace. Be glorified in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  3. What Attributes of God Do We See in Jesus?
    Good morning sister’s in Christ
We must keep our heads up especially when the Lord is speaking in you know that you know that you know you’re walking in the fire of life you feel it in you know it because God himself have reviled it to you its hard, but with Jesus keeping power we can’t go wrong know one has the right to believe that they are the ambassador to judge one’s life to control to destroy best discipline only God can I hear God’s voice I know God’s voice and he knows my voice this life it’s the principality of the devil he still is in control because God has allowed him to but one thing we must hold on to the promises of God yes I listen to wisdom when speaks I know, I live wisdom stand still let Jesus do his business paint the blood, paint the picture for your life because only Jesus can know body can like Jesus can
Yes I cry, pray hit the wall sometimes crying out loud Lord help me out of this mess
What have I’ve done so wrong
Then he talks to me walks with me hallelujah the still small voice hallelujah Jesus loves Bonnie. …..
    Verse: 2 Timothy 2:1-13
In Jesus we see Godโ€™s attributes of love, wisdom and grace. In 2 Timothy 2:11โ€“13, Paul mentions some other divine attributes that Jesus clearly possesses. Verse 12 declares Godโ€™s justice: if we reject Christ, then God has no choice but to also reject us. Godโ€™s moral purity (see Isaiah 6:3-5 necessitates his justice; he cannot, will not and does not ignore sin. Jesus also possesses moral purity. As both Hebrews 4:14-15 and 1 John 3:5 attest, Jesus lived a sinless life. God the Father also endorsed Jesusโ€™ moral purity (see Matthew 17:5).
Following the stern warning of 2 Timothy 2:12, Paul highlights Jesusโ€™ faithfulness. Although we may turn away from Jesus, he gives us many undeserved chances to be reconciled with him. Godโ€™s faithfulness is well chronicled in the Old Testamentโ€™s accounts of the Israelitesโ€™ cycles of disobedience that were met with Godโ€™s mercy.
Both God and his Son, Jesus, possess moral purity, justice and faithfulness. These traits could not belong to an ordinary human but rather describe God incarnate. The fact that Jesus possessed these traits gives powerful testimony to his claims to be.

  9. Greetings, my beautifully blessed sisters and beloved friends! It’s been a while! I have been going through some things. But our Father prepared me, well ahead of time. Way before I even understood the rhyme. I am so honored to have been given the privilege to share my struggle in prayer form, and in poetry the way I did, before you all, so intimately. For those who were offended in any way ever, it was absolutely never, ever my intention. This has been a raw walk for me, from day one. I am convinced that this gives God the most glory. But I never set out to do any of it. I was just led into it by His Holy Spirit. Each step was random and unplanned, and as I look back, I can see His plan unfolding before my eyes, now. It is sort of surreal to me, honestly. Yet, the struggle is so real, no matter how surreal it all feels, there are still times when I feel like I will crush. But then I remember what the Word says about those who are crushed in spirit… He saves them. And I have been blessed to see, that the peace that I received on my birthday never left me. I struggle. I do. But my struggles today don’t compare too my struggles back there. These are glory days that I am walking in, He says. I will admit that I wonder, if in the eyes of the world, I may still look oppressed, but even this doesn’t unsettle me anymore. My heart is at rest.

My soul flaps it’s wings, and flutters. I may take of with a sputter… but I know You are giving me butterfly kisses upon my soul, Daddy, to help me let go, more and more! My Lord, You lead me to do things that I do not want to do, then You give me the Strength of.. well, You! You grace me with Your Presence, and favor me in all things unto Your glory. I do them, because You equip me to them. I stay strong and courageous, because You are always so gracious! You have not failed me since I started this journey, and You certainly wouldn’t let go of my hand now. I can say, my Daddy, that You have phenomenally, intimately, preciously, delicately, lovingly, decidedly, steadfastly, and most generously loved me unto YOU! Those who seek you, and mean it, in their heart, shall find you, if they just don’t give up! Help me to stay steadfast and focused wholeheartedly on You first and foremost. Thank You, for I know that, whatever shall be, I shall never be apart from You again! You are my deepest, realest, most intimate and true Friend! There is absolutely none like You, Jesus!

Because I am moving into a new season in my life, our Father in Heaven, has me committing to some other things in my life, more diligently at this time, so, I will not reply as much as before, but I will try to chirp in more often. It was a great struggle for me to let go of y’all in the way I wanted to retain y’all. You all are so dear to me, and have played such a pivotal part in my journey unto the heart of my Lord and Savior. I want prepared when God said, “Stop.” I struggled with it. I cried and pouted, and got really mad at others, because God was calling me to walk away, and I didn’t want to. But, as I say this, I hear God say, “See, not everything you walk away from, or let go of, because I ask you to, will go away forever. not temporary… that makes me cry now. I don’t like temporary, just to let y’all know. Growing up, everyone I loved was temporary to me. They all left. They all abandoned me, gave me up, relinquished their control, turned away from me, or rejected me in my hour of need. But this was all unto the glory of God, because He is breaking chains that are generations upon generations thick! I declare this promise as my own from You, my Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus! Thank You, Lord!
I pray that You bless each of my sisters, Lord. They are very precious and dear to me;writers, readers, and all contributors who have been a part of the prayer war going on around me! Thank You, Jesus!
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I pray that my story, my struggle, my humility, which was and is completely and totally an act of God, has blessed each of you. But I know God sent me here for certain hearts to receive His message. I pray that all intended to be blessed shall be. And that in whatever ways, I have failed, that God’s grace will be poured upon my mistakes like honey! Thank You, Lord, for Your words unto my heart this day! Thank You, for the heart to say them aloud.
If only, a God bless you all, I will do my very best to chirp in more. Love you all, so much! This ministry, and the sisters I have come to know and love, and the dear and precious friends I have made, has touched me so deeply! And in my journey here, I have discovered that some brokenhearted women, at least this one, have a hard time with good-byes, especially when they haven’t had too many good relationships in and throughout their lives. And especially, when they don’t understand, that God’s glorious goodbyes, are sometimes open doors to healthy hellos. You speaking to me, Lord. We panic when we think someone has decided we are unworthy, if they take a step back, cuz woah, this might be more than I had bargained for. Hey, we all need a breather. I get it. But, oh, my sisters, if any of you have felt that way about me, I say, we are much favored by our Daddy in Heaven! He is so full of grace! His beauty will absolutely erase our disgrace! I apologize if it seemed like I dropped off the map. God led me to do it, and in my emotional state, I just couldn’t get the words out. And Jesus had been the One pouring words through me like a fountain, and suddenly they were gone. I had to walk through the valley alone. That much I’ve gathered. The rest, I learn as I go. My walk of Faith is very blind, but so was my blind walk OUT of glory! So what better way to glorify His Name, I say! I truly have been working through some things with our Daddy, my sweet sisters! He has been mending and breaking my heart in ways that amaze me. The breaking part may seem harsh to some of you. It did to me once upon a time, before this sovereign rhyme. But understand, what He breaks, He absolutely had the intention to mend. Oh, Lord, You are talking to me again. He reaches into my life, in the most deep and intimate ways. I promise you, my sisters, don’t listen to the enemy, He will raise you from the dead. He won’t leave you in no tomb, or grave of wretched misery! He has never left me! I have never been forsaken in any of my weaknesses! His strength truly has been perfected in my weakness, and His grace truly has always been MORE than enough! He is and was, and shall always be the Strength in me! He is and was, and always shall be my Sweet Victory!

In prayer, God gave me a poem, and in prayer, I felt like He wanted me to share.
As I am here, I realize I want you to all be my Facebook friends. You truly have been friend to me. I am using my page to minister to lost family and friends. And to receive wisdom and encouragement from some of my fellow sisters. I struggled with this, thinking that it would be seen as a move to steal you away from following hard after these nuggets of wisdom given you, each day, from these anointed vessels of Truth. So, I guess that’s why God laid it on my heart, like this, right here and now, because He knew I wouldn’t say no here. Do NOT stop reading these devotionals. I am convinced they are divinely God inspired. If something hits you the wrong way, it’s probably because GOD just hit a nerve. And it’s probably because that nerve needs to be rewired. That’s why, you have to understand, that JESUS will NEVER, EVER leave you. People may come and go out of your life. Some may appear to disappear to never reappear again. And some appear so quickly, and are gone so abruptly afterward, that you blink and miss the appearance and the disappearance, all at once, and then you realize, it was the reappearance you was looking for, seeking after, and listening to in the darkness. In the same manner, the reappearance shatters all of your preconceived notions of Who God is. He is Good. Small word. One extra letter from God. In the middle, an “O”, a circle, like His everlasting love, that never stops. I love you all, and I pray that God’s words, poured through me, bless you all in ways that I can not fathom poor understand. I thank You, Jesus, for Your death and life, so that I could witness for myself, the resurrection of Crystal Marie. Take me to the ends of the earth. I shall chase the scent of Your love, forever and ever. Amen.

  10. God richly bless u for these words of wisdom. My heartfelt prayer is that God make me a doer of His word n not a hearer only. I’m blessed beyond measure and so are you all amen.

  11. Thank you God For your words I have received it and trusting you and my life the wisdom to keep on trusted you God and the name of Jesus Amen and that you for your encouragement words again I say Amen

  12. When Solomon was asked what he wanted as king, he chose wisdom. And what wise answers he gave when confronted with issues. How much more don’t we need wisdom in the times we are living in. Fear God, that is wisdom. Then we will listen and obey. Thank You Father for giving us everything we need, understanding, discernment, knowledge and most of all to honour You for Who You are. Give us the ability to understand how to honour and obey You in humbly listening and understanding the depth the width and breth of You love for us. Help us to go deeper in our walk with You, not to be satisfied with just the essential to just come by, but to know You intimately as Moses knew You. Dearest Father in our weakness give us the strength to press in to Your sanctuary Your presence through Your beloved Son Jesus. Help us to become who we really are in Christ. Amen.
