Be Renewed Day by Day

“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.” 2 Corinthians 4:16

When you say you’re too busy to pray, it shows you do not understand what it means to have a relationship with God. If you never put gas in your car, you would be stranded on the side of the road, unable to go anywhere. However, you make time to put gas in your car because you understand what can happen if you don’t. Do you understand what can happen if you don’t spend time with God daily? You will be empty and weak, with a short fuse and a bad attitude.

When it comes to time with the Lord, it’s not about quantity, it’s about quality. God understands you are a wife and a mother. He knows the different demands you have that require your attention and drain you. The more responsibilities you have, the more you absolutely must schedule in your day, time with Him. In your time with God is where you will be strengthened and given instructions for the day. God doesn’t want you operating on an empty tank. The enemy knows the best time to test you is when you are empty, tired and weak. Let Him replenish you day by day. This is not a Sunday and Wednesday night Bible Study relationship that you have with Him. It is a minute by minute relationship with a God who loves you and wants to renew you. Everything He pours into you, He will pour into others through you. Our spiritual life is a constant pouring out and Him pouring in.

Your body may not be as youthful as it once was, but your inward man is renewed day by day when you give your spirit what it needs by spending time in worship, in prayer, and in God’s Word. Don’t worry about what you’ll need for tomorrow. Don’t pray for hours on Sunday thinking that should last you all week long. Pray today and receive God’s grace for today. This is a day by day walk.

Prayer: Father God, I come to you now. I am so tired, and I feel so empty. I need you to renew my strength. Fill me completely with your Spirit. Reach my innermost being and pour into me your love, your grace, your wisdom and your peace. I receive your instructions for today. Renew me as I worship you and commune with you. I thank you for the relationship we have. Let it be a continual pouring in and pouring out everyday of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    1. Beverly, I’m sorry you’re going through family troubles. I feel for you and your feelings are understandable. It’s obvious you have a good heart. I’ll say a prayer for you and I’m sure ithers will as well. Just keep asking God to heal your family. Things may have to get more difficult before they get better, just know God is working it out for your good! Hugs and prayers to you!

    2. Hello Beverly, my name is Brandi and sadly I know all to well what your going through, the best advice I can give you is to pray, Jesus knows the questions that your heart is asking, so sometimes it’s best to go into a quiet place and listen in silence as He gives you answers, Jesus heals, restores, and bends the broken hearted, and you know some times when we pray for our loved ones who have hurt us, it releases us from the bondages of hurt, anger, and bitterness that has taken up valuable space in our hearts to receive The Lord’s healing in those valuable areas in your heart, but we must remember when we pray for a person who has hurt us and forgiveness begins to uproot bitterness and the love of Christ begins to fill those valuable places that were once taken up by the hurt, anger, and bitterness that it doesn’t always change that person, or the circumstances , but however God does change your heart and He changes how you view that person and the circumstances surrounding the situation at hand, when we pray God moves and when He moves we move and although the prayer’s we pray for others may not move or change that person or the circumstances, but those prayers WE PRAY GOD WILL USE TO HEAL US, ENABLE US TO FORGIVE, AND UPROOT BITTERNESS, AND MOVE US!!! THEN AT LAST WE CAN SEE THROUGH THE EYES OF JESUS, THEN YOUR HEART CAN EXTEND THE SAME MERCY AND GRACE TO THAT PERSON, AND WE WILL SEE THINGS IN A WHOLE NEW LIGHT, AND WHERE DARKNESS HID IN YOUR HEART, JESUS WILL THEN SHINE BRIGHT, AND THEN IF NOTHING ELSE CHANGES IT DOESN’T MATTER, BECAUSE GOD HAS CHANGED YOU AND YOU CAN AND WILL LEAVE THAT PERSON IN GOD’S HANDS AND KNOW WITHOUT A DOUBT THAT YOU HAVE DONE WHAT GOD HAS ASK OF YOU! DON’T LET SATAN STILL YOUR JOY OR THE VALUABLE PLACES IN YOUR HEART THAT JESUS WANTS TO FILL!! TRUST ME, YOUR FAMILY MEMBER WILL SEE AND KNOW WITHOUT ADOUBT THAT YOU HAVE BEEN HEALED, AND YOU HAVE BEEN MOVED!!! PRAY, TRUST, BELIEVE

As a matter of fact, I was just talking to my Son about the importance of being in constant communication with the Lord. This message is confirmation.
