Be Still

β€œBe still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10

In this hurry up and go world, it is easy to get caught up in the rush. However, as daughters of God, there is a place we are to live while we are in this world. In this place there is peace, rest, contentment and joy. In the world, most of the rushing around is rooted in fear. Like rushing to avoid being late for an appointment or rushing to the store to purchase that sale item before they are all gone. But for us, there is no need to rush around for anything. We are to be still and know that He is God in your life. How is this possible you ask? By our complete trust in Him and our confidence in His love for us.

When you live your life by being still and knowing He is God, this exalts Him among the unbeliever. They will want this in their lives and you will have the opportunity to lead them to the One Who provides it. So, be still today. Know that He is God in Your life and rest in Him. He will always lead you in the right direction.

Prayer: Father God, help me to be still today. I know that you love me and I trust in Your love for me, so I do not fear. Please help me by your Spirit to demonstrate this place of stillness in you today and always. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
