Celebrate the Lord

“Sing to God! Sing praises to His name. Exalt Him who rides on the clouds—His name is the LORD—and rejoice before Him. A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in His holy habitation” Psalm 68:4-5, Berean Standard Bible.

“As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.” Isaiah 66:13, ESV.

Without the Lord’s sacrifice, you wouldn’t be here. Without Him helping you along the way, you would be lost. He has been a father in your fatherless moments, and a mother when you needed comfort and love. The Lord has been your reason to keep going and your living hope.

On this day when the focus is on mothers, I want you to put the focus on the one who deserves all of the honor and praise–the Lord. Without Him, the demands of this life and the demands of motherhood would have crushed you, and without His constant flow of grace, you wouldn’t have survived. He gave you the strength to keep going when you wanted to give up because you felt overwhelmed by it all. He was right there sitting with you in it and delivering you out of it.

When you had no strength, He was your strength. When you had no joy, He was your joy. When you had no peace, He was your peace. When you had no love, He was the love you received and gave away. He’s been excellent in every way, and we are going to thank Him from bottom of our hearts today.

Let’s pray, Lord, we love you, and we know we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you. Thank you for how you have kept us, and helped us along our journey. When it felt like we were going to be crushed by the weight of it all, you gave us strength to carry on and be responsible women. Thank you for teaching us, guiding us, and shaping us. We love you and celebrate you. Thank you for your love and sacrifice. Thank you for loving us so tenderly. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  3. Hallelujah & Thank You, Lord! After being away from church for quite awhile & then meeting my husband, I was told I could not get pregnant. I didn’t realize what I would be missing until our gracious God gifted us with our precious daughter. It was a “here’s your sign” moment (to quote Bill Engvall). That’s when I returned to church & to worshipping & thanking my dear Father God. I was literally saved/blessed & I’m forever grateful.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there. God bless 🙏🕊
