Freedom

“Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free” Luke 4:18, New Living Translation.

One Sunday, my church was singing “In the River.” As I was worshipping, the Lord gave me a vision of two people I love walking out of prison doors. The doors opened wide without a struggle, and out walked my loved ones. In that moment, all I could do was worship and cry. While my loved ones are not in a physical prison, the Lord will set them free spiritually.

You too can experience the freedom found only in Jesus. His freedom covers a multitude of pain. You are not too far gone for the one who sets all captives free. You may feel your world crumbling down on you, with the weight on your shoulders. Feeling every burden with each step you take. Jesus knows, and He wants to set you free. It seems like a risk to take a leap of faith and trust Him. Sister, when you walk into His loving arms and experience His freedom, you will know it was the right choice. Don’t look back, continue on this journey.

Prayer: Jesus, I thank you for your daughter who is reading this. I pray that your love encompasses her heart. Shower her with peace. You alone set the captives free and I pray freedom right now for her. Break off the chains and bondages the enemy has placed on her. Help her walk in your freedom and love. May she know you more and more. In your name I pray, Amen.

  4. Amen!! Freedom! The key is to stay free and not get entangled by the yoke of bondage again!!! This devotional is so important in our walk, my daily walk with Jesus on this journey. The importance of where our mindset and focus!!! To trust and know what Jesus did for us on Calvary was Enough for our salvation, knowing in our humanity we can do nothing but believe on Jesus and His blood that have covered our sins going to Him daily asking for forgiveness and repent. ❤️❤️❤️
