God wants to make you into a courageous woman!

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” Joshua 1:9, NKJV.

“Courage comes from a heart that is CONVINCED it is loved”
– Beth Moore

I remember when my husband and I went skydiving for the first time. My mother was so afraid for us that she asked if whether we wanted to give her power of attorney of our children just in case we didn’t survive the jump. I remember laughing out loud and reassuring her that she had nothing to worry about. When we arrived on site, we received a quick course on how to skydive, then they strapped us in our harness, and we got on the plane. As we climbed higher and higher in altitude, with our skydiving instructor hooked onto our backs, I remember thinking, “What in the world am I doing?!” But there was no turning back now. I pretended to be brave, but on the inside I was scared. They opened the door to the plane, and my instructor yelled, “It’s time!” He began to push me forward in the way someone who has jumped a million times would. I got to the edge of the door, and he said, “Jump!” I took a deep breath, moved forward and rolled out of the plane into the wide open air. Then my instructor noticed I was holding on to my harness (for dear life) instead of spreading my arms like an eagle. So he tapped my hands and out went my arms. I was flying!

My sister, God wants to make you into a courageous woman. It doesn’t mean you will never feel afraid ever again. It means even in the midst of fear, you will obey God. That, my friend, is courage. It is following God no matter how afraid you feel because you know God loves you and He will never let you down.

The more you grow in Him, the more He will challenge you. He will help you confront every fear. He will have you do something you’ve never done and will instruct you to step out on faith in ways you never have before—all to teach you how to live by faith instead of fear.

Prayer: Father, make me into a strong, brave, courageous and confident woman. I’m tired of living in fear; I want to live by faith. Help me LORD to believe that I am who you say I am, I have what you say I have, and I can do what you say I can do by your grace and power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  4. Thank you, I needed this. My family and I have been living in fear for many years now. Fear that my in-laws are going to pull the carpet from underneath us on their rent to own home, that we paid off and they refuse to get the paperwork changed. Please Sisters, continue to pray for us. On Jan 2nd, I will let my husband know they summoned us to court on Jan 18th. He’s so I’ll right now and out of work. We cannot afford an attorney to help us fight for keeping possession for this home. Please pray that God has mercy on us and softens the judges heart to show him that they are being dishonest and not fair…the truth be revealed. Also that God guides our ever step in gathering proof to help us win possession of our home. We need our home for the 4 of us and 6 pets. I work full time and take care of my little girl who is a Make A Wish Child and my husband who is a very ill unemployed veteran. Love you Sister’s and really need your prayers in this upcoming month and New Year. ❤️Please & Thank You! Jennifer Martinez

Here’s My Story: I moved to Georgia 8 years ago and now I have this all of a sudden pull to return to California. Well when I came this way. I was single raising 4. I had money when I came to Georgia. So it didn’t matter if we had to stay in a hotel for 2 months to get settled because I had the money. But the faith walk was going to another state not knowing nothing! Yet… My God showed up and He did supply! Glory to God! Now this fear I been facing is; I don’t have the money (security) like I had when I came down here. It is absolutely no.match to it! Yes.. I know the money is a resource and not my source (God is) yet the no knowing is what makes u clam up. Lol! Woman of God my spirit is pulling me to go ahead and trust! FAITH I learned coming to… Now trust I am learning to take me to! My sweet JESUS! I feel the Holy Ghost! Thank you woman of God! Keep doing what your doing it’s working! Love ya

  9. I truly do not accept this example of courage provided as a statement of faith and courage. It is my belief that God does not ask us to intentionally place ourselves in situations that could be dangerous and then turn to him and ask for faith, courage, and his protection.
