Great anointing does not equal great character.

“For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13

If there was anything I wish I could tell my younger self it would be this: Great anointing doesn’t equal great character. A lot of times we wonder why we are not receiving the promotion we’ve been praying for, why every relationship we enter falls apart, and why the great open doors haven’t yet come our way. We can wonder if people are holding us back, but my sister, often it’s our character that’s holding us back. A tree first establishes strong roots in the earth before it grows and spreads its branches in beauty and splendor. Our character matters to God so much so that He gave us His Holy Spirit to work in us and help develop within us His godly characteristics. Love, peace, joy, goodness, long-suffering, faithfulness, gentleness, meekness, self-control are what Holy Spirit works in us and He never stops. God cares more about us being people with integrity than being the next famous preacher. So He will delay opening certain doors until He helps us grow and develop. Our Father has our whole man in mind. Both our inner victories and outward successes matter to Him. Let’s continue to yield to Him and let Him work in us!

Prayer: Father, thank you for speaking to my heart. I hear you. I yield to your work in me. Help me desire character development more than great anointing. Help me desire a stronger love walk than great promotion. Set my affections on things above, not things on the earth. Thank you, Father, that as you bless me with excellent character, it will force doors open for me and put me in places to impact more people for your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

(Read Galatians 5:22; Colossians 3:2)

It is about our character, I so agree. He will not set us up to fail. That is the kind of Father He is with being intentional because He wants us to be the children He created us to be. That’s why He doesn’t give us things before we’re ready. That’s why He say, yes, no, or wait. We always have to trust His timing because He knows what is best for us all. We Belong to Him and He have a plan with a Purpose for us to care out in the earth by us being His eyes, hands, and feet. We bring the ” His Love” in the earth that by His loving kindnesses that draws!πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ
I know I ask Him daily to clean me up on the inside, so it will show on the outside His love, because all is worthy of His love. May we remember that no one is unworthy of His love, that what we own, because He first loved us.πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Sister Kesha, I had been praying that the Lord would help me to store my treasure in heaven and not on the earth. For Him to continue to open my eyes and dress me. Thank you and God blessπŸ’•πŸ’πŸ’œπŸ’•πŸ’πŸ’œ
