How do you see Him?

“He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered and said to Him, “You are the Christ.” Mark 8:29

Do you know that how you see Jesus determines what you believe? If you see Jesus as your healer, you will have no problem believing Him to heal you. If you see Jesus as your Chief Shepherd, you will have no problem trusting Him to guide you and provide your every need.

The people of Nazareth, Jesus’ hometown, saw Jesus in the natural. They said of Him, “Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? And His sisters, are they not all with us?” They saw Jesus in the natural. They did not see Him as God in the flesh. As a result, He could not do many mighty works there.

Today, many people, including some philosophers, see Jesus of Nazareth as a good man who led an exemplary life. They feel that if all of us could live our lives like Him, the world would be a better place. They don’t see Jesus as the bread of God who came from heaven to give life to the world. They don’t see Him as the one who came to give them living water, so that they would never thirst again. They don’t see Him as the Lamb of God, who took away the sin of the world. They don’t receive from Him what they need because they don’t esteem Him rightly.

Jesus did not come just to set a good example for man to follow. He came to be our Redeemer. He came to be our righteousness. He came to be our shepherd, so that we will not lack anything.

Jesus asked His disciples once, “Who do you say that I am?” How you answer this question depends on how you see Jesus. And how you see Jesus will determine how and what you receive from Him. So see Him as your God, as everything He claims to be in His Word, and He will do mighty works in your life.

Prayer: Lord, I come to you today and confess that I have at times not trusted or truly relied on you to be more than enough in my life. I choose today to trust you to be exactly what you say you are to me…
You are my El Roi, my all seeing God.
You are my Jehovah-Rapha, my Healer.
You are my Jehovah-Jireh, my Provider.
You are my Jehovah-Tsidkenu , my Righteousness.
And You are my Jehovah-Shalom, the one that give me peace to the uttermost.

  9. When God gives a directive now I learned not to doubt that I heard him
He said so. My sheep hear my voice and a strangers voice they will not listen to. I doubted my ability to hear from him so I didnt do precisely what he said when he said it
Circumstances also looked as though he didn’t say that. Well sister’s I suffered because I doubted my ability to hear him.correct despite how it looked and I suffered because of it. So when you hear him.if your his child do what he says when he says it
He will confirm it. I hope this helps someone out there not to make the same mistake I did
    Love Barbara. Goodnight
