I know it’s been difficult. There’s a reason.

“The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent” 2 Peter 3:9, New Living Translation.

My sister, I know that difficult co-worker has you looking for a job elsewhere. I know the way that person has been treating you has you rethinking your whole assignment. I know that person has attacked everything you hold dear; your marriage, your family, your ministry, and you don’t know how much more you can take. You’re told to love. You’re told to pray for them, but people have no idea what you’re going through.

Hear me, sister. Once God removed Lot and his family from the land of Sodom and Gomorrah, judgement came. The reason God has you in difficult places dealing with difficult people is to give them an opportunity to repent. He is withholding judgement. You have represented the presence of God on your job. You have represented the mercy of God in your family. You have represented the heart of God in your community. God has been holding back judgment while you are there. God is being very patient, giving them ample time to repent and turn to Him. The key is to represent Him instead of resenting them.

No matter how hard it’s been, receive the strength of God to endure this hardship, this hard place as a good soldier of God. Your deliverance is on the way. In the meanwhile, keep praying for true conversion of their soul and for a real encounter with Jesus. God is not wanting to destroy your enemies, He is wanting to save them to the uttermost before time runs out. If they don’t cry out to Him in repentance, He will release you and judgment will come that was brought on by their own actions and choices.

Prayer: Yes, Lord, I receive all of this word from you, and I receive your supernatural strength to endure until you deliver me. I forgive them and I pray you save, heal, deliver people who are held captive by the enemy. Open their eyes to see you and bring them to repentance. In the meanwhile, keep me sensitive to your Holy Spirit. Keep my mind stayed on you. Help me represent you well, Father. I resist all bitterness and resentment. I pray that poison will not enter my heart. I am your ambassador in the earth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. Amen!! I needed this word in this morning. I’m in a place where people are against me, betrayed by ones I love, and struggling with forgiveness, bitterness and anger. Wanting to throw in the towel on it all, but God told me to keep the towel and wipe the tears and sweat with it, don’t say anything about it and be still, and know that He is God. I have been quiet for3 years, and I see some God’s hand, but I still struggle with this. I constantly pray and ask God to help me do His will and not my own. Pray for me.

  2. Amen! Amen! Amen! Dear Lord, while the world seems enmeshed in complete turmoil & I deal with aging issues, plz help me stay focused on You. Plz help me stay focused on praying for those who have strayed from you or who have never known you, that they may find their way to the lighted path that leads to eternal salvation with You. Plz also help me pray for those in power whose souls are in darkness, that they will find their way to Your light & love. Thank You, Lord, for saving & blessing me ❤️🙏🕊
