It was a small wind, but He is a great Fire.

“Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be filled with gratitude, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. For our God is a consuming fire” Hebrews 12:28-29, Berean Study Bible.

You may feel that you’ve allowed the words of others to put out your fire. You may fear you’ve lost your glow and can’t get it back. What you don’t know is their words are only a small wind but God’s presence within you, my sister, is an all-consuming fire, and no words are powerful enough to put Him out. The Lord has been faithfully protecting the treasure He placed within you all this time, and He will continue to allow nothing to reach that place where His Spirit lives. You are covered by the hands of the Almighty. His love surrounds you. His gentle but strong hands are shielding and protecting the fire He’s put in you breathing upon you until His fire grows. Now, let His living words heal the wounds caused by their words. Let His life-giving Spirit go into the deep recesses of your heart and mind. Receive His words instead. He is your fire. The Lord is your glow. He is your confidence, and your living hope!

Prayer: Father God, I submit to you. You are my God, you are an all consuming Fire, and nothing and no one can put you out. Thank you for surrounding me. Thank you for healing every part of my heart caused by their words. I choose to say what you say. Greater is He that’s in me than he that’s in the world. I am more than a conqueror through Christ. No weapon of words formed against me will prosper. Your Spirit is upon me and your voice of truth is being amplified in my ears. Turn way up! In the name of Jesus, Amen.

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me,” declares the LORD” Isaiah 54:17, Berean Study Bible.
