It’s Time to Lead

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you” Deuteronomy 31:6, NIV.

Just as Joshua was called to lead, we are called to lead. God has placed a portion of His flock under our care and calls us to disciple them and lead them to His Kingdom. Jesus is our guide, our forever help and comfort. Just as He called Joshua to be strong and courageous; you are being called to be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid! Do not fear this world, do not fear your circumstances! Have faith and trust Him. Your God is with you! Just as He was with Moses and Joshua, He is with you now!

Be strong and courageous!

Lead your family. Lead your friends. Lead your co-worker and your neighbor. It is time to push those fears aside and be the leader God has called you to be! If you don’t lead them, who will? As God leads you, you must tend to those He has entrusted to you. The time is now, not tomorrow or next week—it’s time to lead today!

Prayer: Father, thank you for reminding me that you have a plan and a purpose for me and all of your people. Thank you for calling me out of my fears and instructing me to lead. Thank you for the strength to speak out. Help me lead those you have placed in my care. I know time is short; there’s no time to waste. Help me be the leader you’ve called me to be. In Jesus name, Amen!

  1. I really needed this Passage today. Thank you for inspiring me, just when I need to feel that the Lord is still LEADING ME.

  2. 🌾. Joshua 1:9 is a reminder when my daughter was in the Military back in 2010 She brought me a military dog tag and it said Joshua 1:9 be strong and courageous. Because at times I will be afraid to thinking is she alright is she safe. Then I look at that dog tag of Joshua 1:9 to be reminded and I still have it to this day I keep it hanging on my Apron at work to alway to remind me. Thank you Heavenly Father for watching over her and reminding me to Not be afraid, but to be Strong and Courageous 🌾

  9. Sisters
This message is true and on point. Like queen Esther we were saved for such a time. If we dont answer the call we risk the souls of those the Father has put us to lead, mentor, teach, etc…there’s no time for fear.. there will be blood on our hands when we go to meet the Master…now I dont know about you but I FEAR meeting up with the Master with the blood of my sisters or brothers on my hands.

  10. Praise God for this message!!! While reading it, the memory of the public incident that extinguished any notions I had of being a leader vividly came to mind… Recognizing that I had been set up to fail in a basic, work-related exercise, intimated me, causing me to shrink back on the job, at home and even at church!
Praise God! After reading this devotional, I seem to hear the voice of the Lord saying “what the enemy meant for your harm, I Am turning it around for your good!” LORD, thank You for your kindness… for your grace and mercy… Thank You for continuing the work that You began in me… with tears in my eyes, I humbly say, in Jesus Christ, I will lead as I am lead by His Spirit on my job, in my home and on the mission field. Hallelujah!

  11. Thank you for this message of being a leader, Father give me the courage to continue to be a leader in all the places you want me to be, I pray that you give me the strength to continue, Hallelujah to the king.

  12. I have read this ever since you posted this. I need to lead my son he’s the only family I have but still in order to seek God I need to be led by God.
