Keep practicing your swing!

“Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace” Psalms 37:37

Sometimes people misjudge others and think that their financial struggles are caused by poor financial management. Yes, that may be true in some cases. However, there are people in this world who are where they are financially because they simply do not have enough money to do what they need to do to get ahead in life. If they could pay down their debts they would, but every penny is needed to keep a roof over their head and food on the table to feed their children. They’re not materially poor because they’re irresponsible, ignorant or lazy; they lack opportunity, and if given the opportunity, you will watch them rise and go far.

I compare it to someone who has never played baseball, but they’ve been practicing their swing for years. All they need is a bat in their hand and they will knock the ball completely out of the park. God is going to give you that bat in your hand and that opportunity you’ve been waiting for, my sister. He’s going to give you the open door you’ve been praying for, and when He does, seize it! Show them that you’re not lazy, you’re not ignorant and you’re not irresponsible! You are the right woman for the job and you’ve been practicing your swing! You’re going to knock the ball out of the park!

People don’t know your situation, but they are about to see great manifestation of God’s glory in your life! Keep practicing your swing!

    2. The first shall be last and the last shall be first matt 20:16, the Lord showed and promised me that Scripture in 2011 to hold onto while in a horrifying relationship, and the first to me is peace, joy, true love and righteousness before Christ Jesus, loving even those who wronged me. Humbleness. Hallelujah, I was just faced with this very issue just yesterday and today God spoke these words of encouragement and hope. I love the Lord. Sis Cherice M

  3. Amen!! I needed to hear this devotional this morning. I have been in a financial crisis since I got divorced 8 yrs ago & it has been very challenging to say the least. I have felt like I’m in this terrible neverending rollercoaster. I have had opportunities come my way but I have been so fearful to make a move because my first priority is to put food on the table everyday & a roof over our heads…..but one thing I will continue to do & I’m not fearful to say is thank our Father in Heaven.
Thank you Father God for reminding us to keep swinging. Thank you Father for always providing for us & for never forsaking us in times of financial needs. Thank you Father God for blessing us with courage, strength, your guidance, grace & wisdom to go after the opportunities you have placed in our hearts. In Jesus mighty name we are grateful for all you do for us. Amen!

  6. Hallelujah! Father, be glorified in this moment and season in our lives. Lord, thank you for your provision! Thank you for your wisdom, knowledge and understanding. As we continue to practice our swing, we bless Your Holy Name! Thank you for forgiving us and for every opportunity that we may have thought we missed we know that Your promises are true, and that in the end it will work out in our favor because of You and who we are in You. Let your word continue to be alive and active within us. For those women who are experiencing lack, remind them that You are the source of provision! Holy Spirit guide our hearts and minds as we stand together believing in You. You O God will forever get the Glory! For those sisters who are going thru poverty remind them that that’s just what it is, them going thru and when you open the door they will run thru with wisdom and clarity and share Your goodness with others. How great is our God! Sisters rejoice thru your lack, stand on God’s word, seek His presence and all other things SHALL BE added to you! We serve a mighty good God!
    In Jesus name, amen .

  7. Thank you Father God in the name of Jesus of Nazareth. I have been praying, praying, praying, with little faith, but I’ve held to your words mustard seed faith. I have been in a financial crisis all of my life on this earth it started when I was just 14 years old. There was a tragedy in my family and I had to work to help my siblings and myself. All I have known this lifetime is how to help others, putting everyone before myself. I’m in the ministry and I’ve helped youth for the last 10 years. It takes money to help people, everyone wants a salary no one does anything for free and rightful so. I have to put all of my trust in God in helping the kids and their families. I’m so compassionate about helping people who have a need, especially children. People misunderstand me. I do it to glorify God. I know what it’s like to need help I had no one but God from the vulnerable age of 14. I prayed to God who always sent someone at the right time. I was grateful then and I’m grateful now. That’s how I’ve made it, Leaning on God! Now today is an important day, the young adults who are on their way back to college and some youth who starts school today, some started yesterday needs their stipends. They rightfully deserve it. In the ministry we have two grants awarded, really 3 but someone is trying to not grant us one of them but I’m going to let God handle them and that situation. I/ we know that two are coming and we need a miracle blessing for the money to come today because I gave those kids/young adults my word that they would be paid by the end of the business day today. I believe that this message is the Lord answered prayer letting me know that it’s all worked out today. I declare it in the name of Jesus of Nazareth. Amen

    1. Loretta, What a sad/ beautiful& courageous Journey that you’ve been on. I just wanted to let you know that God will provide and is very honored for what you do for your siblings and as well as the youth and community. I will continue to pray for you and your journey in life. God bless you Loretta🛐❤☯️😊❗

  8. AMEN! I received this but faith!
I’m a stay at home mom assigned by the Lord for the pass 9 years! And we’ve always been getting by because of. Lack of opportunity for myself! It’s just not my season to work. But I’ve been asking God about our finances! We step out on faith a lot! We just bought a house and although I was excited and thankful I was a bit frustrated that we couldn’t buy new furniture and decor for the house as of yet. We where about to get a few things but no where near where we could be if we had more income. It’s seems like we are just making it! Like we have to choose what we are going to do with one check. When we would visit our friends we see them expanding on their home every time we show up and I asked God what are we doing wrong!
We pay tithes and offering although I’ve heard it before that that won’t make you rich but it will keep your from being broke and I agree!

But I am waiting for opportunity!
I know my children needs me so I submit to this position in this season! But I desire for us to be well of finally financially!

Lord help! I’m waiting on opportunity ❤️ Thank You Amen

  9. Thank You Jesus! I’m READY for that opportunity, that opened door! Thank You Father for putting that “bat” in my hand. I’m going to knock that ball out of boundary! I can relate to this devotional,
    I’m 70 years old & went back
to work to make ends meet. God will give me the strength to endure till my financial breakthrough manifests.
    He has always seen me
through, I know and believe that He will get me through again.

You Jesus for your great faithfulness!! I love You❣🙏

  12. Thank you for this devotional. Its been a struggle at work. Standing up for others at work had caused my supervisor to unleash her bullying on me. Management and HR has buried their head in the sand. But God!! I will hold on to His promises. I know he hears the faintest cries. He loves me and all of this will work for my good. I will continue to keep the faith and striving for greater. I thank and praise His holy name. Batter up!! In Jesus name Amen.

  13. The past years have been perplexing. I assure you it’s been a crazy, spinning, tossing, slipping, slopping turn of trials, tribulation, loss, and relocation over the past five years. Before I married a man I was not supposed to marry I had restored my credit history, within 7 months I was separated in that marriage, clinically depressed, moved 900 miles from where I lived, sat traumatized for 2 years unable to recover on my own emotionally, but praised, worshipped and sort the Lord. Finally the chains after 2 years were broken, divorced and delivered from depression, door opened for work, within 1 month of having a new job I lost my apartment because I could not catch up financially, harmed my credit and walked away from the job because I didn’t know how to juggle it all. Though I declared I would not be homeless, God was full of compassion and allowed me covering at an extended stay hotel. After a year at that hotel another door opened for work an 18 mth contract assignment but I could not resolve the eviction due to the monthly stay rate at hotel, eventually after 3 years total at the hotel, I finished work contract, was on unemployment insurance for 14 weeks and eventually lost all income and had to move 900 miles back from where I previously left. I returned crushed, angry, and overwhelmed. My faith shaken and felt depression creeping back in. It’s been 3 months now living with family, no job, no new home, watching my adult children struggle as well is hard. Constantly questioning my life and how all this happened when God promised me I would prosper? This Devotional helps me to know that God will bless me for all I’ve endured and all I have survived. Why I’m back where I started not sure, it confounds me, but I have to trust that God has been with me through it all because God is gracious and full of compassion.
