A Kingdom Sisterhood – Part 2

“But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.” Ruth 1:16, NIV

As we read in Titus 2, women who help women usually produce wisdom and achievements. When we stick together, we begin strong, accelerate fast and finish well. The Bible teaches us that when two or more are gathered together in the same Spirit, God is amongst them. Let’s be women of the same Spirit. Let’s be women of change and impact. It is God’s desire to see women work together in love and for one purpose, which is to lift His name high.

I love the story of Ruth and Naomi because it shows what sisterhood is all about; a love that is not separated by anything, a love that conquers all together, a union that is inseparable. Although this is something we would all love to have, we must always remember to be that person to someone else first. We must never forget that the rule of life is reaping what we sow; we can’t expect to receive from others what we’ve never sown into them. We are called to stand out in every area of our lives, especially when it comes to relationships because the focal point of a Christian life is the relationship we have with our Father.

Healthy relationships are essential, so who are you impacting today? Who are you pouring yourself into today? Who are you are supporting and loving today; because who you are matters and it speaks volumes. Don’t lead by words, lead by example!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for speaking to my heart regarding the importance of sisterhood. When the enemy wants me to turn inward, help me to turn outward. When he wants me to give up on sisterhood because of past hurts, help me push to have Your view. I pray that I am able to help women in my life see themselves the way You see them and know that they are loved by You. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

(Read Titus 2:3-5)

  1. This is a good and timely word. I like to be close with other believers in my family but they lack serious judgement, which has put a wedge between us. I see danger and try and warn them but they don’t listen. Then they pay the price for their mistakes and do it all over again: Lacking judgement and bringing problems on themselves and their families. It’s hard for me to to be close to other believers in my family. I pray for unity more than anything and ask that the Lord open their eyes.

  2. 3. Thank you God for sisterhood, help us to impact each other, help us to have LOVE for one another. In Jesus Name Amen.

  6. Thank you God for speaking to me tonight through not only this devotional but also the many confirmations I’ve received this week. The enemy wants me and my Sister In Christ to turn inward so we are weak in times of crisis. Give us the strength to boldness to reach out to our sisters so we can be in one accord. Help us to activate the gifts you have already given us and to claim our dominion over the enemy. I thank you for my sisters and ask that you bless them and keep them.
We are standing firm upon the rock of our salvation that we are victors and not victims, we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus, and that NO weapon formed against US shall prosper! In Jesus’ mighty name… Amen.
