I love the story of David and Jonathan. As we see in our opening verse, God sometimes knits hearts together, like He did with them, and He puts people in our path because He knows we’ll need them. Godly friendships are a wonderful force to be reckoned with. He uses our friendships as vessels, to encourage and strengthen one another. Jonathan loved David, believed in him, and sought God’s best for him. Jonathan’s friendship was what David needed to grow into the king and leader he was to become.
Friendships are vital in our walk with Christ because, in them, we are sharpened and are held accountable by one another. It’s not about your win in this race; it’s about a corporate win that makes this journey worthwhile. In Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 it says: “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: if either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.”
Truth: Never underestimate the power of two hearts knit together for God’s purpose.
Point to Ponder: If you desire this type of friendship, are you leading by example?
Pray with me: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of friendships. Lord, please surround me with strong friendships that will add value to my life, and I pray I can do the same for them. Thank You Lord, because You have heard my prayer and You are already working behind the scenes. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

My neighbor in her late seventies my mentor friend nieghbour mother grandmother sister all in one. I believe this female lawyer I’ve met last week I don’t know why but I believe we will turn into good friends. I know she sent to me to get back on track someone who is fighting for me on different levels right now who has my best interest advocating on my behalf as my savior is in the courts of heaven . I can. Be my best friend or worst enemy. I remember many years ago I had a thought if I want a good friend I must learn how to be a good friend. I’m reminded of one of my best friends we have been friends for over twenty five years. The trust we have cultivated.powerful acceptance able to be truthful accountable someone to listen be there through thick and thin to truly listen hurts anger fears to watch each other grow mature have families watch marriages go through major crossroads their children grow into adults and have children of their own ageing parents . eslk through deaths together spouses animals baby’s parents leaving homes we love thought we would never leave attending meetings together walking eating laughing crying hugging praying encouraging understanding trusting with the most intimate thoughts singing how great thou art into the wee morning of the night sharing a recent loss of our girlfriend who graduated to heaven. Both our husbands now gone and our homes. She just better off financially than I am now. Able to get advice accountability forgiveness so much laughter and when I don’t see her for a while or a real true friend could be years but its like we never left incredible how that works sometimes we walk a journey together or apart.knowing each other their . even through disagreements and hardships.. Sometimes I don’t always understand things in people myself.. Um always reminded our war is not against flesh and blood but rulers and principalities these days I ask the Lord to allow me to see others through your eyes including myself. Makes life so much easier. I’ve been very blessed. I’ve spent a lifetime learning an bout myself learning to be a friend to love and like me .getting to truly know myself that’s been an incredible journey building trust believing in myself. I am worthy I do count. My Savior lifts me to high places. I love my secret place with Lord love love love happy intimate peaceful joyful pure mybinner most being allowing him to go into the dark hurtful places. To reveal himself to me to reveal myself to me. To be myself with The Lord father God And Holy Spirit. I have a saying when someone enters my life or my oath is it for a reason , a season or a lifetime .
