Learn to let go.

“To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven” Ecclessiastes 3:1, Berean Study Bible.

One of the first and foremost lessons God teaches His servant leaders is how to let go. Everyone who starts with you won’t always finish with you, and that’s ok, my sister. Some people are in your life for a season and then it will be time for them to move on into their purpose. Learn to let them go and bless them.

I want you to make a list of every person who has left you and you are having trouble letting go. Now, for each person, say from your heart:

“Father God, thank you for bringing _________________ in my life when you did. Thank you for every lesson their relationship taught me and how it added to my life. I pray you bless _________________ to fulfill your purpose and plan. I pray you use them for your glory and transform their life. Help them, Lord, to walk in your ways and cause them to be all that you created them to be. Let no space in my heart be filled with hatred or resentment for _________________. I bless __________________. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

  1. I am working on it! And sometimes did not know how to do it. Thank you for writing this way, so we learn how to let go🧡. Thank you..

  2. Thank you for the prayer template. I used it to reflect on praying for my daughters father and ex spouse. I really needed this on today.

  3. I’m sorry, but I’m having a hard time of letting go what my ex did to me. Bless him??? But why, after all the hell he’s put me through!? 😡 I guess I’m still bitter about things. But why should he get to be happy-go lucky when I’m struggling? I just don’t get it!

    1. Finally someone said it. Why should yuu I let go when it’s the hate that comforting you. The hate makes it easier to deal with. You can’t hurt and destroy and expect to be blessed and forgiven when my world is tearing apart. When it feels like the world is against you.

  4. Reading this as someone who is in the leaving position. God calling me into his purpose for me and it’s hard to let go of those I’m leaving…

  5. Amen Thank you Sister Keasha for allowing the Lord God to use you to reach other sister’s and learn to let it go.. I said the pray in place the name and empty space My God and I always want the best for others God you do what only you can do in our life again I🙏🏽pray in Jesus name Amen ❤❤

  6. THANK YOU JESUS,
However, this particular situation is having a boomerang effect on me.
I am having trouble with someone who’s choosing not to LET ME GO.
I have released this person out of my heart for the sake of my walk with God and also for my overall well-being and they are refusing to leave my home until they are ready.
I’ve Prayed end upon end for the Lord to remove me from this situation, but to no avail. I’m truly trying to do this the Godly way and not the ghetto way. (God may be trying to save his soul through me). I’ve heard numerous testimonies about how God has removed toxic people out of one’s life, but my situation just seems to linger. All that I can think is God is trying to grow and show me something through this, so I just keep on Fighting the Good Fight of Faith until my release date.
My sisters, if you can lift me up in Prayer, it would be greatly appreciated ❣️

  7. Yes my LORD i let go and release all into YOUR Hands in JESUS Name AMEN ❤⚘❤⚘❤⚘❤⚘❤⚘❤⚘❤⚘

  8. I’m always amazed at God’s perfect timing, I needed this reminder/ prayer to let go and send love to the people who left, there season was over in my life, it’s not my fault but their season was over in my life
I give God all the glory for the DOTK and the move of the holy spirit here
    Thank you so much

  9. Thank you sister for these words! Letting go is hard… especially when you want someone in your life so bad. It’s even harder when they aren’t bad or mean. I learned this lesson years ago about toxic situations and now GOD is teaching me to let go when it seems good but my wisdom is saying…it’s still not what GOD wants for me.. Remember that everything is just a decision. So decide not to be bitter, decide to be happy and most of all decide to trust GOD! He knows what’s best for us and when it’s not working anymore let go.
