Look to Jesus

“Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]…” Hebrew 12:2a, Amplified.

Keep your eyes on Jesus.  He is your finish line.  He has gone before you and has already won.  Now in order for you to make it to the end, you will have to keep your eyes fixed on Him.  He is the Author and the Finisher of your faith.  You can’t win this race looking back at the past, nor can you win this race worried about who is or isn’t running with you.  Keep your eyes on the Lord and you’ll find that He will give you the strength you need to run the race He has set before you.  Your eyes being fixed on Him will give you the confidence you need when it gets tough.

If you have ever ran in a race, you know it gets tough at the end.  We are in the end times and we are closer to Jesus’ return than ever before. Keep your eyes on Him. Look to Jesus by not allowing anything or anyone to distract you from obeying Him. Look to Jesus by placing your trust in His Word. Look to Jesus by expecting Him to do what He said He will do.

Prayer: Father God, there are so many distractions all around. Help me to keep my eyes fixed on you. Help me to keep my mind stayed on you. I look to you God and to no one else. You are my hope. You are my life. I turn my focus and my heart to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen

    1. Yes Lord, I choose You first. I choose to to keep my eyes on You. Looking neither to the left nor to the right, or backward just straight ahead. In Jesus alone I trust. I believe Jesus is the way the truth and the life. No man can come to the Father except through the blood Jesus. Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I choose to attend Church to worship You. Fellowship with my brother’s and sister’s. I also realize that the Church is in us. The Word says when we are saved we are filled with the Holy Spirit. Our job as a Christian is to be outside the 4 walls telling others about the good news of Jesus. We are the hands and feet of Jesus here on this earth. We were made for more than just sitting on a pew. Jesus was crucified. Hung on a cross and died for you and me. Resurrected defeating death Hell and the grave!! Hallelujah!! So I count it all joy to be a Child of the King. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord! It is a joy serving The Lord. I put Him first above all. In Him alone I trust. He is my anchor in the storm. Peace in life’s struggles. So I choose to keep my eyes on Him. Each of us have a choice to make. We can’t make excuses. Blame others or the situation. We have to take responsibility for our actions. If we are Christians. We are a new creature. Old things are passed away. Behold all things become new . We should be acting like it. We will answer for our actions if they are not covered under the blood. I choose Jesus first. Others second. Self last.
